come out this time each year over the past 10 years or so. And, in my opinion, NEARLY EVERY one of them has made the game worse. ESPECIALLY for the fans. One of the things that made the college game unique was the stopping of the clock after a first down. One of these days, they are just going to flip the coin, and spot the ball for the winner on the 10 yard line, and if you score, GAME OVER. Load up the boat and go home...

I don’t get the backlash…

I like that the clock stops after a 1st in football
It’s a different strategy and twist

If they’d just gone straight NFL rules and not kept that last 2 mins I’d have been disappointed

I watch ball to be entertained. Giving a little hope to the trailing team increases the drama and doubt in many games.. I’m all for that.

If it’s the end of blowout, run out the clock

Agree so vehemently. Greatest game on earth that needed very little change and certainly not something fundamental like the first down rule.

If time were the issue, put all reviews on a 60 sec shot clock. If you can’t figure it out in a minute, then it’s not indisputable.

The targeting ejection also needs to go or be modified to something less like just the half you’re playing in.

that for years and have made numerous posts about the POWER put in one man's hands. But, you are dead on. If you cannot look at video, and decide in 30 seconds, that CLEARLY IMPLIES that it is not INDISPUTABLE. INDISPUTABLE is..take a quick look,and " oh yes, his foot WAS in bounds...or Oh yes, HIS HELMET hit him in the shoulder..." etc.etc.
