Just watched new video of MAGA Kids, Black Israelites

and Native Americans. I had previously watched an earlier video. CNN seems pretty middle of the road here.
It’s very clear that the Native American man with the drum got between the two groups. The MAGA kids were obviously mocking the Native American and showed no respect and should be horsewhipped like the punks they are. The same with the black Israelites as they seemed to start the whole thing by yelling at the young punks.

Yeah but maybe they should just leave old people alone? You wouldn't want your kids or grandkids messing with an old man, even if it were minor. It really wasn't that big of a deal though. It probably did scare the old guy though as he said it did.

Nathan Phillips, the native american guy beating the drum, has a history of inciting people and then running to the camera's claiming he was being harassed, AFTER he initiated the harassment int he first place.

Nathan Phillips also lies about who he is. He is NOT an active duty vietnam veteran, nor a "recon ranger" as he claims. He was never deployed to Vietnam. He was in the Marine Corps Reserves, stationed here in the U.S., was never deployed overseas, and according to his DD-214 and discharge papers, "he was AWOL alot".

Phillips approached him, and he just didn't move because he was in the middle of the group waiting on the steps to be picked up. I'm not sure what Phillips expected to happen, other than somehow protecting the Black Israelites from the white beasts.

So it seems pretty obvious that the Native American man put himself between the two groups and the students closed the gap and approached him even closer.
It seems like the students were enjoying the back and forth and poking at the black Israelites. I can understand, though, how someone would believe the students were the bigger threat, simply by their numbers.
Both the students and the black Israelites were in the wrong. I don't see that the Native Americans did anything wrong unless there's yet more video.

He walks towards them, but leaves a lot of space. The boys then approach him. It's even more obvious in this video. Use the pavement lines as reference. When the camera pans back, Phillips hasn't moved, but the boys are close to him.

But when he first walks in between them, he immediately turns to face the boys and walks what looks like another 10 feet towards them. Some of the people with him then come around behind him, but he was only surrounded because walked into their group. At any rate, the group of boys never moves from their general spot, while Phillips walks from off screen and then advances towards them. It's pretty clear who instigated the whole thing.

It looked like he could have walked away, but was standing face to face with the kids. It didn't look like a situation he had to be in imo. What was he trying to accomplish? If he did anything at all it was minor though. It just seems like he was trying to mix it up some though, not physically, but just being in the mix. It seemed to me that the order of fault though was...
1. Black Israelites by far.
2. The kid standing too close to Indians face.
3. The Indian for even being in that mix at all. That said, he was never in danger.

But you can clearly see that Phillips first walks between the two groups, then immediately turns and faces the boys and walks towards them. The people who crowd around behind him seem to be with him and are filming. It isn't clear that the boys are mocking him at first, as much as they're sort of joining in.
I don't know at what point Phillips approaches Sandmann, but you can see it's a pretty dense crowd of boys that he walks into rather than Phillips having a path up the steps that Sandmann stepped into.

They could've just stood there silently while a guy walked into the middle of their group because he thought he was protecting a bunch of insane black men, his friends told them to "go back to Europe," and then he beat a drum in their faces. There would've been no opportunity for a story then. On the other hand, a 62 year old could've tried to better understand what was going on, not walked into the middle of a group of kids beating a drum and singing loudly, and then not lied about what happened later in an attempt to paint a bunch of kids in a bad light.
If anybody deserved doxing, it was Phillips and the Crazy Hebrews.

Please go and read his different accounts of the event with the Detroit Free Press and the Washington Post. In the first, he says he was intervening to save the "old black men" from the "beastly" boys who were about to attack the old black guys. In the second, he says he was playing his song of unity to defuse the situation on the way up the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, got between the groups, but he was blocked by the students.
It's clear that he revised his story to make it sound like he was more of a neutral peacemaker. It's also clear that he walked right into the group of boys, rather than getting between the two groups. Further, there was plenty of room around the boys to walk around the steps, and the boys weren't menacing the Black Hebrews. Phillips was not just trying to keep the peace, and was clearly prejudiced against the boys as he perceived them as "beasts" and the black guys as their "prey" that he needed to protect.
It's odd to me that none of these stories being written are actually quoting Phillips's different accounts. Instead, they either take what he says without question, or they show the videos without the context of what both sides explained happened. It's clear that what the boys said was closer to the truth, even if they did somewhat mock Phillips after he treated them like a threat to the racist black guys, walked into the middle of them, had people in his entourage tell them to go back to Europe, then beat a drum in a 16 year old's face.
The boys maybe shouldn't have mocked him, but we're talking about 16 year olds who weren't doing anything wrong being provoked by a 62 year old and a group of other adults. There isn't equal responsibility.
