that stated the driving force behind UNC objecting to Stanford joining the ACC was from the coach of the women's soccer team. He does not want to travel to California for games and he does not want to have to start recruiting against Stanford in his backyard.

Stanford students have to go to class. That should provide UNC a recruiting advantage.

Since Stanford has won more National Championships than any other school, maybe the baby blues are afraid. In real life, I doubt then coach of the Women's Soccer team has much sway at Carolina.

You don't know UNC. FB is not the major sport. It ranks far down the list compared to Basketball and some women's sports. That is why Swofford propped UNC up all the time. It was not for FB. He could care less about FB. That's why he destroyed the ACC as a Fb conference.
