I feel terrible for DJ

The coaches put him in a terrible place by continuing to play him when there was clearly a better option. We now have Clemson fans bashing him relentlessly. That isn’t right. He’s a Clemson man and seems like a genuinely good person. Have some grace. It’s a shame that the coaching staff put him in a position where he is getting shat on by his own fan base.

Cade absolutely should have played earlier. This coaching staff gaslighted DJ and everyone by pretending there wasn’t another option.

I agree. I like him as a young man. It has been sad he hasn't translated the hard work to onfield success

He will be a star one day. Maybe not a sports star, but I can really see him making it big in either acting or modeling or something. He seems to be a bright young man who has his life figured out. I expect big things from him.

Stating Cade should be starter is not DJ bashing. Coaches not seeing who is better at start of season now that makes more sense, they need some bashing imho

I never said that saying Cade should be starter is DJ bashing. I agreed that Cade should have been starter. I was very clear about that. There have been people saying plenty more than that….

“Big stinko.” Some people have been outright hateful with things they’ve said. I don’t care to repeat all the crap I’ve read on it.

I’m not limping everyone who says Cade should’ve started in that group, I’m in the group that thinks Cade should have been playing. But a certain portion of that group is being very classless and a poor representation for Clemson

I don't think Cade would have beaten Wake Forest or Notre Dame if he was the starter. The team would still have at least two losses imo. He wasn't ready earlier in the season and maybe he finally is now.

What makes it worse is the quotes from coaches that make DJ look like a weak scared child. Having to pump him up before games... trying to remind him who he is... making him watch his own highlights. Come on if he aint it next man up. Should have happened 7 or 8 games ago when he proved he couldn't perform. His whole career is going to be remembered from 2 games he played his freshman year.
