With the two highly ranked de-commitments from Clemson it makes me wonder

if there is some really dirty unethical recruiting going on and if some schools are using the racial tension in the country against schools in the south. If that’s the case it is pretty sad someone would stoop that low. If the Covid Virus had not kept Dabo out of these players home, I believe they stay committed.
I know Dabo knows how to handle these situations much better than me because I would withdraw their offers and would move on.
Either way Dabo always has a back up plan which seems to work out. Example ETN
I do not trust Ryan Day. I think he is worse than Urban Meyer. He wants to win at all cost! It’s just my opinion.
I hope the players will change their minds more for themselves than for Clemson. IMO either way CLEMSON will be fine.

I have heard from un-reliable chatter on platforms that he is taking his aim at Clemson and attacking our recruits.

Dabo literally has a Presidential Suite inside Ryan Day’s brain.
We are so inside all Ohio St fans heads it’s not even funny. Its all they talk about. Blog about. Message about.
Congratulations Buckeye. Cheers to making it 0-5 this year in a Natty Rematch.

I trust Dabo, BV, and co to always develop players and maximize their potential and when they exit Clemson, they are a better person and player than anyone that waffles and goes elsewhere. If kids don't want to work, have faith, and be committed, well, that is their choice.

care and understand the plight and issues of young black men...and that we believe that black lives matter....and that we see the confederate states of america and their symbols and heroes as offensive to people whose ancestors were enslaved and deemed less than human under that banner and flags...... TigerNet is good for that. We(TigerNet) can counter racist attacks and give no fodder for the fire... right?!!!?? No way we are defending the "southern, proud confederate history and way of life!!" Not tiger fans... we are smarter than that.

Been to all 50 states. SC much less Clemson has no monopoly on racism. It's funny how so many former players continue to come back or choose to stay and work in this area. Racism will always exist as long as humans are on the planet, but I think you're really reaching here.

Ron1 you are correct racism will always exist as long as people continue to accept it based on "others do it and are worse", " that history is being destroyed by taking down symbols" ( funny we know about Nazi history and Germany doesn't honor them" and lets face it the confederate states committed treason and thank God we lost. On Tnet there is a strong flavor that others cheating Clemson in recruiting, unfairly reminding us of our slip ups , #### Gov., left wing socialist etc.Really wish the crap being spouted: language of intolerance, dividing people with hate speak, blame for your ills and support for privilege over equity. Its hard to exchange ides when so many come to the text in such angst. I could see a talented player seeking a more comfortable place ( not Clemson) but the State. We have No facts to believe that is the reason for the decommitment. So like Mask, if you want football this season lets move out of the past century in our society and work as a country to make it happen.

I don't think that at all..

I just see more 100% pulse folks who hold the "go back to where you came from" and "don't change the name of Tillman" and "stop the liberals" and throwing Marxist mud and "what about black on black crime"(stupid statement), and "black people owned slaves too" and "liberals are taking over in trying to band the confederate flag" and on and on and on... only folks like me who are willing to challenge those folks have their pulse dropping.... what does that tell you? TigerNet as a whole leans extreme right and more often than not... away from where most black athletes and their families lean.... why can't you just trust me on this!!!??? I am a black Clemson alum (tiger band proud)...and father of a recruited high school football player.... wake up!!!
And no- I am not a liberal, no way, especially as a pastor ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America (look it up- right of most denominations).
I am just saying- being as right and not sensitive to the other side like TigerNet and thus real Clemson fans and grads can be- CAN and WILL be used against us by schools in recruiting. I don't think Pearman should necessarily be fired... considering all that went down.... but coaches have been fired because their recruiting is poor, or their coached positions are hurting the team, or call bad plays... cause winning games is more important than if they were nice people who did all the right things... In this culture- can Dabo "win" this perception without Pearman resigning... that is above my pay-grade or knowledge to answer- but like an offensive coordinator whose design, keys the opponent in how to defend it, the Pearman situation is a constant key- to attack and will be exploited again and again... not his fault completely but it is what it is and it makes me feel sad...but....here we are.

Pastor I agree that things can always be done better. The violence toward black people needs to hold weight in court and if found guilty for using excessive force or murdering they need to be brought to justice. However black on black crime is also a HUGE problem. I told you on another post 11 minors were killed in the streets of Chicago over the 4th of July weekend. Children had there lives snuffed out for whatever reason but because it wasn’t by a white police officer it just falls to the side. There were no protest and there were no marches calling for justice. Nothing much was said and why is that? All crime needs to be handled in the exact same way and all crimes should be talked about if we want to become better as a society. There will always unfortunately be hate in people’s hearts but please don’t make it sounds like there’s only hate in white peoples hearts (no I’m not saying you said that but that’s how BLM portrays it). Also it’s okay to disagree with someone else. That doesn’t mean they’re racist. Just means they see things differently than you. We can all be better people. We all just need to try and get a little better one day at a time.

adults shot by another young black adult for no reason. One was asleep in his car and the other was in her apartment when she was shot for no reason. Besides the normally water cooler talk, nothing much was said. Breaks my heart because I know of the victims family and they are super people.

This is just as tragic as any murder or death. Since 2013 I have lost some of my best friends 2 of them black. I miss them as much as I do my other friends because their color never mattered to me. It was their friendship I valued. I will miss all of those I have lost since 2013.
Life is precious no matter the race. When someone passes away someone is left with a piece of their heart that will be gone until Jesus returns. I wish people could understand this.
We don’t need some organization to tell us the pain we feel when we lose a family member or friends or someone who dies due to injustice. I think most of us can figure this out without violent protest or claims of racism.

It’s messed up in both directions. I’m just at the point where I’m tired of one side screaming at the sky about the other. Nobody is right when neither side listens to the other. I attempt to objectively survey all opinions unless they are disparaging Clemson, Dabo or God. Then I’m ready to fight. No particular order intended above.

85% of all white murders are by other white people. Yet no one ever calls "white on white" crime a problem. Why? Because "black on black" crime is a device used to distract from the issue of blacks being targeted BECAUSE of their skin color.

All murders are problems. However there isn’t an organization called White Lives Matter. There weren’t/aren’t riots or protests by white people when/if a white person is in police custody and is killed. The news outlets don’t have non stop coverage on those. I said it once and I’ll say it again all lives matter. Sorry if I don’t take there side but I call it like I see it. Murder is murdered and when there are organizations that tries to take advantage of someone’s pain but don’t care about others then that is a huge problem.

Not disagreeing with you that every murder is tragic, or that everyone should be outraged whenever a murder occurs.
I do however think that a person or group of people can be outraged or protest something without being required to do the same over similar other causes.
If you see a story about a family in need of assistance and decide to donate money to help them, would you expect people to keep asking you why you didn't give any money to all the other families around the world who need help?
If you donate money for cancer research would you expect people to keep asking you why you didn't donate any money for research any other causes of death?
If your kid is being bullied at school and you decide to go up to the school to talk to the principal about it would you expect the principal to ask why you didn't come up to the school to talk about all the other kids who are bullied?
If you say that people should support our military, would you expect people to correct you by saying we should support all people?

They have absolutely every right to protest but why aren’t the children’s who’s lives were cut short due to gun violence just as important as the people who’s lives were taken due to police violence?
First there’s a big difference in pay checks and resources between myself and BLM. If I had Bill Gates money I would definitely try and do any and everything I could to make the world a better place.
Hell anyone who sees bullying should put a stop to it. Children are a lot more sensitive now a days so for some all it can take are a few mean words then they kill themselves. Side note I’ve even stepped in when I saw a domestic violence incident going on.
Also I am in the military and really don’t care if we have peoples support or not. No not everyone should be supported. Your gonna tell me we should support drug dealers, rapist, murders, etc.?
I’m here in Afghanistan equipping the Afghan National Army, Afghan National Air Force, and Afghan police so they can defend and try to make there country a better place. Doesn’t affect my sleep or hurt my feelings one bit if most Americans don’t care about or support us. I still have a job that I was sent over here to do.

Yup, first hand. I walked into the wrong middle-eastern grocery store once. I love the food and was curious. I was all but asked to leave walking into the store. I have also seen similar treatment in other establishments. It’s mostly swept under the rug because other races and cultures have been treated worse by white people I suppose.

That’s not the message you are sending out. Take it or leave it, But you make blanket statements to the board that sound like it’s you against a bunch of racist white guys on a message board. That’s the perception you are creating. If you are seeing those types of posts then responding to them is one thing, but you routinely make posts that could be interpreted as addressing your view of all posters.

Wow. After everything that was said about Pearman, here we go again. People make mistakes. I do not believe in firing good people for a singular event. As a pastor, arent we supposed to forgive? With an attitude like that, I'm glad you dont hold any of my water. The first sign of trouble, tuck tail and run. Thats not Dabo. He has shown that he gives people(players) another chance. Why shouldnt he do it with coaches? Smh.

Actually, I am born and bred South Carolina. I bleed the Orange. And I am extremely proud of my Southern Heritage. Slavery doesnt define me. It was never a part of my past, i dont condone it, praise it or otherwise tolerate it. Yet, so many want to believe that is the only thing my heritage stands for. Go ahead and poke this Tiger and i will stand up for what I believe in. Courtesy, manners, family, God, friends, iced tea, hunting and fishing and a front porch( in no particular order). Notice I did not say the "Confederate flag". Most people do not understand that that flag was shoved at General Lee, by the North, for him to surrender under at Appomattox. The Southern states actually fought under their own state flag. I do not and will not claim that yankee flag.

I'm sure other coaches are using everything possible in recruiting as coaches always do. However, decommits happen every year. I know they haven't happened to us very often in recent years, but overall it's common in recruiting. Didn't Foreman decommit before the recent racial stuff?

Not that it’s any of my business where these young men choose to further their education but it’s probably better to have a recruit decommit than to sign, attend, practice and transfer. So for that I say “Thank You” to the corner and Mr Foreman (who still may decide he wants to come to Clemson).

we do remarkably well recruiting. we've had two decommits and they came close together. I'm sure the coaches know the story there and are addressing it if possible. One thing this staff can do is recruit and hang on to prospects. I think we will be fine. We've had a very good batting average versus Oh St on recruits in recent years. I think that will continue.
