Lyn-J barking back from the doghouse

You can get it for yourself at TCI or Twitter, but I don’t think this is going to end well. I’m thinking the portal will be in play very soon…kids don’t go for the “no respect” angle these days whether they are right or wrong. ??

I think he and Shipley are our two best and clearly that way followed by Pace. I would go with those all of the time and often. LJ would get a ton of carries though. Top 2 always.

I read his comment. It wasn't bad at all. He said he is a great team player and likes to see his fellow teammates eat.

Kind of a strange comment actually. I just hope he’s okay mentally.

Not a strange comment at all. "Everybody eats" is a common saying among young people now, especially black dudes. Its been that way for a few years now. It means everyone looks out for each other. Hip hop guys say it. It means we all make money together. It means everyone looks out for each other. Eveyone does well. He isn't talking about food.

Nothing he said is what you described. Your creating something that isn't there. Not surprising coming from you.

I don’t know details and am trying to trust the coaches on this one.

But part of me feels sorry for a guy who easily could’ve transferred but stuck around to help this team, and has been played so little in games this year that it’s almost more insulting than if he hadn’t been played at all, to now be called out publicly by his head coach for needing to “grow up.”
I’m confident that Lyn-J has some things to improve upon, and perhaps this most recent public comment by Dabo is a last ditch effort to get him to do better. But I am not a fan of telling a young man who has been in the program for several years and been very patient and worked hard to be told to “grow up.” He’s still a human being, and a grown man at that.
I’m sure it won’t go well for him, but I’m glad he has stood up for himself after being publicly criticized in a way that could very well hurt his career opportunities in the future.

Poor baby. He may have been patient, but don't know if he has worked hard or has not been a team player. Don't dispute the head coach, or if so leave. How patient has Dabo been with LJ? I think Dabo was too patient with Kendrick and it hurt us. Hope LJ changes and plays well.

Dabo’s track record for effective and fair discipline speaks for itself.
I just don’t see the need to tell the press that a player needs to “grow up.” Why not just say that it’s a private team matter, or a discipline issue that is being handled internally?
There is a general rule in team sports about keeping “family business” private…

I agree with him here and it’s not just bc I always do. Telling someone to grow up is simple but hurts alot more than an FU, or I slept with your mom. I’d rather be told all sorts of things as a grown man than that I need to grow up. And that it’s my coach on a post game presser is just an extra twist of the knife. I would imagine he’s told him that in person too but this was not (in person).

If we are to the point where nothing Dabo says or does can ever be questioned, we have a problem. And the problem isn’t mine.

called out or cussed out the coaches (likely CJ Spiller) in practice or on the football field. I'm not sure Dabo would be willing to toss a top 5 rivalry game over something insignificant.

Dabo has an excellent track record when it comes to discipline.

The way he runs our program is the model for how it should be done.
I’m sure Lyn-J’s issues are not new. I agree that it must be significant for Dabo to have played him so little this year. I just don’t like the fact that he said that he needs to “grow up.” Just say that it’s a private team matter and leave it at that.

Could mean he is showing he’s mature and wants his fellow backs to have carries. You’re post is crap.
