Not everyone wants Dabo to give up on DJ. The fans just want to see TP get a series here and there. It may let Coach Streeter work with DJ during the game to see some things he has been missing.

I guess the Braves should have stopped Sid
Bream (the slowest player on the team) at 3rd
base in a tie game with 2 outs in the bottom
of the 9th in the 7th game of the 1992 NLCS.

IMO, Secretariat was the greatest professional race horse that has ever lived, and he didn't compete the way a Jockey wanted him to compete, he did it his way, and that was usually coming from behind in a full run leaving the field behind!!!

I don’t know if you’re watching the same quarterback that I am watching, AND secretariat had a history of greatness and I haven’t seen this kid in any game so far show any greatness. Frankly I’m beginning to think he doesn’t know the plays and that is a head coach problem. Frankly I don’t know what the problem is but obviously Dabo sees something in him that I do not nor most of the fans ,no matter how loyal we are.

you see what you want to see, DJ has huge upside he will get there, you can complain about every aspect of every team if you want to... we get everyones best effort. he had some off throws, he had some good throws, he had some bad throws, he forced a few throws, he had some drops... we got some really crap calls and no calls last week... he threw a perfect back shoulder to Ladson the defender pulled Ladson preventing him from stopping and it was an incompletion that looked bad but was really on the defender. What do you do about that? He threw another perfect back shoulder to Ngata on the two that he dropped. What do you do about that?

I feel like it proves everyone's point when you have to use crap from 30+ years ago in other sports and a horse to justify Dabo's decision. Critics can point to two times in the last week when coaches pulled starting QBs and the backup performed better and won the game.
In addition to this ridiculous analogies, they're not even apt. Secretariat finished fourth in a race and then went on to be a champion? DJ had two good games last year and is one of the worst QBs in the country this year statistically. This is the equivalent of Secretariat coming in, say, second and then third in its first two races, then coming in dead last five races in a row. Do you think its owner would have continued to race him?

Rifling off his back foot on most of the overthrows... Needs to step into his throws and take some velocity off on the short ones.
I don't claim to be some QB 'whisperer' but I've watched Clemson football for 45+ years... It seems fairly clear to me.

Wow, man there has been many of those guy that played in the spring that has grown and gotten better since the spring game. The spring game is nothing more than a glorified scrimmage/practice to show the coaches where guys are at every level have progressed or stayed the same, and that is all the spring game is meant to do!!!! All those guys that played in the spring game has had since April, till now to sharpen their skills and get better. That is the purpose for the practices before the spring game, and that's how our coaches grade every player, and let them know what areas they need working on the most during the off season. If nobody gets better, well then all the time put in for that purpose was a total waste, and if that is true, the coaches will need a better way to get the results they need from every player!!!!

Well if you are right, and I don’t know …why is that the case? Since when do we put all of our eggs in one basket. I just don’t get this ,I’ve never seen such a highly touted player have none of the skills.

I'm not saying that TP is better than DJ, but based on our limited visibility, TP seems to be a viable option. Perhaps his superior speed, mobility, and elusiveness would be a better fit for our struggling OL. I'd like to see him get a chance.

His release looks like a full second or more quicker than DJU, with not a lot of loss on accuracy. Can he read the DE on a read option?
