yep, he was a perfect 3rd best player on the Bulls. He didn't need the limelight. He didn't mind doing the dirty work (rebounding, muscling up on Charles Oakley, etc). And most importantly, he had a deadly 10 foot jumper when called upon to hit it.

Late in big games he always seemed to come up with a key
