Listen, you have had worse than me on this board. I don't have to sell our program. It is all history and everyone knows it. We failed to win the national championship last year...but we played for it. Our history is matched only by Michigan.We have 11 national championships (13 according to the NCAA)....7 Heisman trophy winners...we had only 13 losing seasons in 124 years. We have 865 wins vs 302 losses. We are the most recognized football program in the world. I don't have to come here and talk junk because we are heads and shoulders above most when it come to accomplishments. Clemson has a proud tradition but it can not match that of the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. To say otherwise is just not true. You guys might be better than us this year but don't count us out. Recruiting is going great for us too. You love Clemson....I love Notre Dame. It's really very simple.

want, but the fact is ND hasn't had a great team in many, many years. In fact, most people can't even remember the last time ND was great.
It's a lot like Pitt fans talking about their 7 national championships, even though the last one was in '76 and the others were leather helmet days.

I really didn't want to go there...but...we had 13 total losing seasons in our history. Clemson reached that number in 1942. We had our last national championship in 1988 and Clemson's lone one came in 1981. We had a few rough years but all in all we were competitive. Clemson had some not so great years too. This is not smack...these are facts. The Faust days were a nightmare but we bounced back and won a national championship. The SEC has dominated the the BCS the last 7 years but we will be there to take control with Brian Kelley here. I would say two more years and the cards will be in our favor with recruiting going as well as it is. We do have a separate deal for football and hockey so it won't be an ACC national Champion but I will take it.

Outside of a handful of "well paid" college sports personalities, some out of touch catholics, and a handful of ND alums, no one gives a sh*t about ND football anymore for the most part. Unless you're like a Michigan State fan because ND happens to be on the schedule.

Actually I laughed when I read it. No one....and I do mean no one can deny what we have done in our history. It seemed a little like wishful thinking or sour grapes. If you are going to slam South Carolina or to a lesser degree Georgia then that's one thing but Notre Dame....come on !

ND got a shot at the title for being ND, and because Pitt did everything in their power to not win that game.
