I feel the same way. I'm pulling for him and his family, they've been through the worst sadness that a family can go through. U of SC is not a rival for Clemson any more than Furman is. It's no fun to pick on a handicapped child.
And if you don't do anything else today, Please read the article at the link, it's so meaningful. And Go Tigers!

Let's remember..
Sep 3, 2019, 9:57 AM
|
|
it's (only) a GAME played by athletic young men 17-23 yrs old who are trying to get an education by playing a game and only a few will go Pro.
Saying..let's be real and realize these players are someone's SON, Brother, Loved One, etc!!

I cannot root against this kid, but his family tragedy

makes it all that much more incomprehensible to me that he chose USuK to play college football. I am being 100% serious. It just leaves me shaking my head.

Hate to say it but Hilinski is in for a rough year

if he is USuC's starter from here on out. The USuC schedule combined with their anemic offensive line is going to result in that kid getting beat like a piñata. The kid may have been all world in high school but big boy college ball is a whole new world. The defensive reads are way more complex and the athletes on the field are all top notch.
I feel for what this family has gone through but really wish he had made a better choice for his college football experience. My advice to Hilinski - take your licks this year and hit the transfer portal when Muschamp is fired...

They all wanted their Heisman hopeful QB benched after Saturday. Now they got what they want, but be careful what you wish for. Their 4 year starter is out indefinitely (probably gone forever), their team looks like hot garbage, and is Hillinski ready? I guess now they have their ready made excuse for a 3 win season.
But oh, the dividends this will pay NEXT year! Sound familiar?

Today, Mark won’t say that Tyler “committed” suicide. He prefers “die by” because Tyler had an illness, and “you don’t commit cancer,” he says

Pulling for their entire family to conquer their daily struggles. Once he takes the field I want his team to fail but not necessarily him.

well written but very sad. A real shame they are going through this. After reading I see now why the not going to a PAC12 school. I pray for all of them in dealing with this loss. As a parent and grandparent you wish no one had to face this grief.

Well, momma's gonna be crying a lot more watching her son getting killed because the coot OL sucks hard.
I hope he has the intelligence to transfer somewhere else.

What a brutal experience. It sounds like the family is struggling. I suppose there is no way NOT to struggle, and I can't believe time heals that wound. I hope those around them in SC can help them find peace and joy.
