Got home from ND Sunday night and started feeling like a cold coming on Monday night. Then my wife started feeling bad Tuesday night. Both of us running 100-101 degree fever. Tested positive today for Covid. Guess we won’t be in Death Valley Saturday. ?

sad thing is you could just have a nice cold. back in the day when i had the dreaded i did a covid study. my covid nurse told me that you can test positive for the dreaded with just a cold. how many people you reckon that effected during the farce.

This is the first time we’ve had it. I work at Clemson and they test for free so I figured I might as well see if it came back positive. For the longest time we were required to test weekly then every 2 weeks. I got tested a lot and a couple of times when I had a cold I wondered how it would come out but it was always negative until this time. Seems to be somewhere worse than a cold but not as bad as the flu. Hitting my wife harder than me and she is a little freaked out with it because her Dad got Covid and passed away in October 2020.

This. The testing has always been pretty sketchy. I have always suspected you were being tested for a basket of similar coronaviruses, not THE coronavirus. Originally this was intended to just narrow the sample down to those who may need additional monitoring, but of course the media and govt health care bureaucracy just decided that was the same thing as having COVID19. It has become so politicized it is hard to trust anything you read on it.

Only issue was I had a bad cough for one day. Ever since then I can barely walk 100 yards without getting winded. Cardiologist and pulmonologist agree. All organs good and strong, so long Covid it is. Tried to work the system and get a free scooter and a handicapped tag. Doctors said eff you, go to physical therapy. Unfortunately, that’s working, so no free scooter for me.

We went to Notre Dame a few years ago, before the fire. They were having Christmas eve mass and I was surprised they let us tourists go inside and roam around looking at stuff during the service. I also couldn't understand a word the priest said because he was speaking french or something.

We avoided it for a very long time but it finally got around to us. Glad we figured out it needs to be treated like a cold or flu and learn to deal with it.

Have had it three times. First time was sick over a month with over two weeks in the hospital and wanted to die. The last two times I felt fine, but testing every week at work found it. Glad you both are on the mend.
