I know in recruiting nothing is final until the papers are signed, but what are your opinions and hearings about the finishing touches on this class? Do we feel confident we get a couple guys or not? Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to Clemson

I think Clemson's best bet at landing someone is Mario Goodrich. I just talked to one of his assistant coaches and it looks like Clemson is in a good spot.
I think Clemson has a legitimate shot at Richard Gouriage, but that's a 50-50 ball at best and maybe not quite that good because Florida is putting on the press to keep him at home, which is where his family wants him.
Ross - I got to know his family at The Opening and we've all kept in touch. Alabama is doing a fantastic job with his family, and his grandmother (who he stayed with while his mom was overseas) is pushing for the Tide. Big in-home visit this week for Dabo.
O'Neal and Surtain - I think O'Neal is at Texas A&M and Surtain winds up at LSU. Like I wrote earlier, the Clemson coaches have switched to a more dedicated recruiting approach, and they don't just give out offers. If a guy chooses somewhere else, they will simply keep the ship til next year

David Thanks for the update. I agree with the approach, but it is hard for me to see us passing on taking at least one more DB with this class. Is there not a concern with depth at the DB position?

Thanks David. I completely understand about not offering just anybody. I know we offered some lower profile guys earlier like Griffin and Palmer and then we started hearing about some more from Goodrich, Surtain, and O'Neal. It made it seem like we thought we could reel in some of the higher star guys. From a fan standpoint I'd like to see us get a DB or 2 based on depth, but Dabo and crew know what they are doing so as always, Go Tigers! By the way if you ever need a dedicated fan sidekick to carry cameras and all just let me know lol.

I am hearing that we (Clemson) cancelled the visit for Taiyon Palmer, previously scheduled for this weekend. Any speculation as to why?

Would like to go another OLman as well. A WR would be nice too. Even though we have depth there it concerns me.
