Few thoughts after rewatching

Rewatched SC State.
1. Our 2 backs should be Lynn J and Shipley. Thats it. Pace is pretty decent, but has a little fumbling issue. Same as Dukes. Mafah must be redshirting or doesn't know the playbook.
2. Young secondary looks athletic. Mukuba and Mickens along with Greene look good. Fred Davis needs to start now. He's served his sentence.
3. Second team linebackers not named Bentley, Trotter, or Swint should sit. Bentley has GOT to get on the field. Some guys are just football trouble makers. He's one of them. Spend 99% of his practice on pass coverage, IDC. He's that good inside the box.
4. WRs should be Ross, Ngata (with a scolding on his fumble), and Ajou Ajou. Hate to say it, but forget Ladson. He does absolutely nothing that isn't a gimme. The Stellato kid is good to. Different but good.
5. Need to find our TEs more.

Agree. Bentley and/or Swint may transfer after the season if they don't get PT. Simple as that, both would start at big time CFB programs. Both should get tons of PT. Trotter just freshman so he can get the 4th qtr snaps.
Not sure what the inside deal was with Chez, but he appears to be correct and should have been ETN backup with tons of reps. Jmho not knowing what's inside the box.

I'm cool with them rotating right now

It's very early in the season and we're going to need someone at some point b/c of injury. To the degree we can build depth, that would be good.
With that said, I would like to see 2nd string (with some 3rd stringers) get more than time on the field. Seems like 2nd string, when they have a chance are only given 2 drives, with very vanilla play calling, and then the 3rd and 4th stringers are in.

Impressed with Beaux Collins size. I'm guessing he gets some catches in the next few weeks.

We really need to get the young athletic LBs on the field.

Skalski, Venables, and Spector are awesome against run. Still think they are a liability in coverage, which will cost us later in the year, especially in CFP. Need to get them some experience, see what we have, and have the right dudes on the field later in the year.

He can play in 4 games and so he will probably get a little work late in the season assuming he is good to go

Thank you Coach D. I am certain that the other coach D, the one on the sideline will be thrilled beyond a Georgia( or Georgia Tech) peach your assessment of our, (or should I say your )team. And this coming from someone with 531 post in 10 years. Bravo! Oh, and please let us know how Ladson responds when you tell him that he absolutely does nothing...

Because I don't post often that somehow negates the points I've made here? I don't get that. Been on here for years but because I don't comment on every post I guess I shouldn't comment at all?
And yes, Ladson hasn't done a thing. Until this year, neither had Ngata. But he's stepped his game up. Ladson hasn't. That doesn't mean I said he sucks. But Clemson isn't a normal school. There's a bench full of WRs and just being present isn't enough. He's not a freshmen ya know. At what point are we going to say good job Ladson?
And I'd disagree with Venables. He consistently fits wrong gaps and whiffs on tackles. He's not the most athletic either. Sometimes reminds of Corico Hawkins. How that guy started is a result of recruiting deficiencies.

braindead drivel on here every time someone expresses their opinion.
This is what sports message boards are for. You're just being a pain in the ### at this point.

You have over 5600 posts here and folks think you’re a douchbag 33% of the time.
There’s some data.

Bud this is a college football forum. What do you think is suppose to be discussed on here? He gave his assessment of what he saw sat. I agree with some of what he said and I disagree with some. But it’s his opinion and this is the best place to discuss it. Don’t get your panties in a bunch.

I agree about Bentley. He is always in the play and thumping someone. He brings the wood. Fun to watch.

but Pace is going to be really good. Don't overreact. I think the RB depth chart is where it needs to be. Let the next couple of games and Lyn-J's attitude determine what it will be moving forward.
Everything else you said was spot on. I'm excited about the future of our back seven!

to me it means the TE is needed to shore up blocking more than is needed for pass catching duties. It keeps coming back to O line performance.

I like Patterson at LB also. Also Swint has moved to DE and will be a force by next year there.

in spot duty. Not sure this year because I was pretty drunk by the time he got in the game. Not so drunk that I could not see how excellent Trotter is going to be. Wow!
