Would it tick you off if we hired a HC and UVA Alum and he wore their logo in any way at media days? I bet if Dabo wore that "A" on camera this place would implode.

If you are as empty of football history as UVA is, having any association with a program like Clemson must feel pretty good to them.

I think their self esteem is pretty healthy up there. I just thought it was something I wouldn't have done in that position.

I tend to think they likely took it more as a positive than a negative as well! They have a lot of pride in women's and men's basketball! As far as football goes T_S is correct; not a lot of history so some positive association might be a good shot in the arm.

But, I get what you are saying 100% And, I agree, the question of "how much has this coach actually bought in might come up if that were the case"! I get it, but Clemson has history and a coach doesn't need to resort to gimmicks to get the fan base and players to believe in the program.

Armstrong is nice!

Lavel Davis is 6-7 and has good skill for a tall target and is a South Carolina native. I don't think his H.S. had a strong passing culture; so he likely was affected by that. But, he was doing a lot of damage last year before getting injured. In coach Elliott's offense; he will likely draw a bunch of double teams with a safety shadowing. Which should other WRs with one on one coverage.
And Coach Elliott's offense is based on: "Jeet Kune do" or following the path of least resistance.

I am too old to care about arts & crafts shoes. The fact that his shoes are the biggest story out of UVA this week speaks volumes.

I do hope TE is able to build their program
