It's Dook, Cameron, the refs, clock operator. What have we won there, twice in 30 years, if that? I remember Barnes first year and the year Vincent Hamilton kept stepping over the foul line and they almost came back and beat us. That's all I can remember

Worry about Duke being tired.....yeah.....19 and 20 year old kids have trouble resting with 3 nights sleep and almost 65 hours of down time.

You would think so but after 25 games, countless more practices, etc. it could actually play a factor.
However, I think it doesn't factor that much.

would be our superstar. They legitimately have 8 players on their roster that would be our best player. We are not beating them in their house

hard at basketball. You play twice in three days in post season play against increasing quality of competition. What's Duke under Coach K? One of the Top 2 or 3 teams in the nation in post-season performance during his tenure? If not the best. Yeah, they'll be real tuckered out.

I don't see why this shows how we suck at basketball.
In post season play you also have an increased amount of time before the ACC Tourney, and then in the NCAA tourney everyone has the exact amount of time between the rounds, and from one round to the next there is also a bigger layoff.
For instance, if winners from games will get the same amount of time from the round of 32 to the Sweet 16 game. It's an even playing field.

Nothing about basketball and don't care about it at all. People otherwise totally disinterested in the sport poke their heads around the corner when the hear "Duke" "UNC" or find some asinine website like Dance Card to validate the notion we might be a postseason team. If you think Duke is going to play with a hangover against Clemson that is just ridiculous. And even if we pull out the win it doesn't validate the assertion. This kind of talk is like SCar fans who were predicting the win before they played Bama a few years ago. Just because they won doesn't mean any of their arguments were remotely valid.
He also isn't the first to bring up this notion and I think it was pointed out that Duke has some amazingly lopsided record after this particular game.

Calm down Nancy. He was citing all the reasons that there is a disparity between post season play when everyone (for the most part) is on equally footing in terms of rest and the regular season when there is the occasional disparity - as there is in the case of this particular game. But that wasnt my point about "why we suck" and I was clarifying myself. I never said anything wasn't up for debate. But perhaps if we had fans that were vested in this team during the Winthrop and Rutgers games we might have picked up an extra crucial home win that would have us seriously in contention for the tournament. Perhaps if we had fans that really cared we wouldn't keep putting band aids on the facilities and making mid tier coaching hires. I cant imagine you're really gonna argue that we have some great basketball fanbase but I'd love to hear it if you can. The same people who can tell you who are 2017 recruiting prospects are and who their lead recruiters are in football barely understand the rules of basketball and don't understand the postseason selection process based on innumerable threads on this message board. I'll be rooting for the boys as much as anyone and if they win it will have nothing to do with the UNC game. It will be because the developed a game plan and executed that game plan to the best of their ability. Hoping Duke is tired and we might win is magical thinking and is stupid.

Don't think so. Tigers will have to play their "A" game for that to happen and I just don't see it. Hope they prove me wrong and I will be happy with that.
