It's all on paper, right? Hasn't the market gained like 30% since Trump took over? Correction - Bound to dip, as it's in unrealistic range. Just sit it out, it's all paper. Not in it myself, so don't care. Hang in there.

Investing involves risk
You must be really young and/or naive.
Wasn't even down 3% today.
2000-2001 and 2008-2009
Those times....ah yes....those days the market went full gimp, mode on you.

Unless you were having to/needed

To pull your funds today- who cares? Long haul. And even then, where's the DOW? Where it was 10 days ago maybe?you buy the dips and bottoms- don't ##### about them. The same applies to any of the past big crashes- if you are able to ride through you are fine. If you aren't able to ride through then you shouldn't have been there to begin with.

As long as you don’t have stocks in bitcoin then everyone will be fine. Just a mere correction stemming from feds interest rate hike talks! Happens every time...

My financial advisor has been warning the US stock market is heading into the euphoric stage of a long bull market. Correction is expected. The economy waking up gives the Fed all the argument they need to start tinkering again. I don’t doubt they will over react with interest rate increases. The bull market may come to an end this year but if you are a long term 401k investor (like me), hold tight and keep buying on the downslope. You’ve already been buying at market top, so take advantage of buying at a discount.
Day traders? Maybe you guys probably like the volatility. I wouldn’t know cause that’s looks like straight out gambling to me.

This. Diversify your portfolio and if you haven’t been buying then set some trigger limits and buy. I still buy a lot of small cap because the economy will be strong the remainder of the year.

Been doing this for years. Over time I'm way, way up. This market correction/profit taking is normal. Diversify your portfolio. And remember; it's not a loss until you sell.

2% isn’t really a blood bath. It’s going to have up and down days and weeks, see how you do quarterly and move on.

One thing that is 100% true about the stock market.

Every single downturn the market has ever had....EVER...has been a great buying opportunity because literally 100% of the time it has bounced back and gone higher. How that is gambling in some people's mind I will never now. I
t's only gambling in the sense that a long term stock investors is the house. Will win every time over the long haul. Period.
