back in the day of our national championship we had to beat u.n.cheat to stay undefeated. this game is gonna be fiscal to say the least and we must protect the ball and dw4. I really would like us to hand the heels a beat down in charlotte. go tigers, history repeat.

That was when Clemson and UNC were both considered to be 'powerhouse' programs. We got throughout that game by the skin of our teeth and the rest was, well, history. This game will be very similar, imho. UNC would like to get back to where they were 30 years ago and they have a legitimate claim to having done it. I think our Tigers are the better team, but they prevent a unique challenge for us Saturday. However, like Dabo has said repeatedly, for four weeks we have been the #1 team in the nation, so that means that we have overcome the pressure that comes with that. We have beaten the #1 team in the nation for four weeks in a row, now. Who has had a tougher schedule than that?
Tigers are ready and primed to take care of this business. I can't wait!!!! Go Tigers!

What a game that was . ! I was 12 years old and remember it like it was this afternoon . We eeked out a win , and on the road against a good defense . Fortunately , our D was a bit better that day .

which went awry behind the line of scrimmage . Jeff Bryant had the good sense to fall on it. LT was playing for Carolina. He was a stud.

I was at the 1980 game at home when they beat us 24-19, he was camped out in our backfield the whole game. He and Deion Sanders were two of best defensive players I've ever seen.

Oh yeah, knocked their ##### right out a top 5 ( no. 2 I think) spot and put us squarely there to start our final approach to a NC.

That was a heavyweight championship fight . Both teams ranked in top 10 . There was a lot of blood and guts left on the field that day .

Defense was outstanding. Remember sports page headline was something like "tigers 10-8cious". Or something like that.

Who scored Clemson's touchdown? I remember Jeff McCall running well that day but we also had McSwain, Austin and Mack.
