Demarre Kitt went to my rival high school

Dec 11, 2014, 4:44 PM

One of my employees is a younger girl who graduated with him. The two of them are very close

I was asking if she had spoken to him about the transfer. Apparently he has always been wishy-washy and can never really decide on what he wants

Shame to see him go, he had a good future here in orange. Also, Sandy Creek High School is a powerhouse that produces D1 talent every year. Hopefully we can keep the pipeline open

Deep down I think it has more to do with PT, with just about all the Wr's coming back and the studs coming in this year, he knows he'll be buried on the depth chart and may not get the chance to be that standout guy. I hate to see him go, but if he felt it was in his best interest than so be it.

I agreedefinitely PT related

Dec 11, 2014, 4:51 PM

sounds like he is not the patient-type

Too bad, I'm sure he would have seen significant PT down the road. Oh well...we probably wont miss him with all the young talent we have

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Either he would have gotten playing time

Dec 11, 2014, 4:58 PM

Or we wouldn't miss him, but not both. If he is/will be good enough to see the field at some point in his career and him leaving means a drop off in talent or depth and it would hurt us (however minor) OR he was going to never see the field and it doesn't hurt us at all... But it is definitely not both.

Not necessarily

Dec 11, 2014, 5:09 PM

I could have seen him contributing by his 3rd or 4th season in an Adam Humphries type of way. Good for 3-5 catches a game for solid yardage

Definitely not a backbreaking loss, especially with the talent coming in...

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Who said backbreaking? A loss is a loss. And if he is good

Dec 12, 2014, 7:54 AM

enough to beat out someone else for those 3-5 catches a game, then it is a downgrade to whomever would be filling in those catches - whether a big or small downgrade. The only way I see it as a potential not downgrade is if we use the scholarship to get someone better to make those catches, but that isn't the point anyone in this thread was making.

He was committed to UGa before he committed to Clemson***

You must've gone to FCHS, McIntosh, or Starrs Mill...or North Gate or E. Coweta. Sandy Creek produces a ton of talent (i.e. Calvin Johnson). I agree with you on keeping the pipeline open.I live down in the PTC area and have seen a lot of good athletes in a lot of sports. (Ran in to Jon Lester coming out of Publix two weeks ago.....darn...I wish the Braves could've picked him up). My daughter played soccer for Starrs Mill some years back. They've produced a world of great soccer talent including Kelly O'Hara who plays for the US national team.
