He realizes how bad this offense is but he’s not going to say it in a press conference.

This. He can’t get up and say we are pathetic. But he knows he’s got to do something major. Through 3 games this is easily worst offensive team under dabo. And the talent is there so......

Exactly he’s got a quarterback with zero confidence….blasting him in a press conference isn’t exactly going to help the kid

If this were happening at Alabama, what would Saban do? You think he would worry about hurting feelings? I have heard him call out coaches for much better performances than our offense had.

Saban is ruthless and likely has studs at QB to replace the starter. We don't have that this year like when we had previously with TL (KB) and DW (Stoudt) waiting. I think DJ needs to sit though, even if it's not permanent and just to get his attention.
Saban also probably doesn't have a string of alums on his coaching staff, it's a rotating roster of get it done or you're gone. I have no issue with Dabo's internal guys, but you have to perform and loyalty can only go so far. Are Streeter, Grisham, etc. really "top tier coaches"?

I was rather hoping he'd have said something along the lines of "We are still a work in progress on offense but I'm pleased with the effort" kind of thing rather than saying GT were world beaters.
GT is crap. Elliott couldn't adapt his game plan. It's really that simple.

He called out the offense by saying

Tech imposed their will on us. He knows. He'll adjust. Crazy as it seems for how our offense has been under Dabo, I almost think a two TE look might be an answer. Makes the defense account for an extra blocker, TE's work the middle of the field in passing game. Would help if Galloway would quit dropping balls. We pound it. Opens up the boundary for our taller wideouts. We have to make the defense account with more than just a 3 deep canopy to take away the deep ball and then jamming things up with the other 8 guys
Not exciting. Not the big play machine we're used to. But this team lacks a real slot guy and a QB who can create on the fly. So you simplify and ride the defense. The drives where we fumbled going in for the score, and then scored the TD were old time drives. Good drives. Nothing fancy, but playing to our strengths right now.

I would like to see that approach, that's something I've been wanting to see. He also needs to attack the MOF much more. Coordinators are really keying in on what Elliott's tendencies are.

the MOF. How many slants did Renfrow catch for first downs in his career? But you need quickness to get that quick separation, and we dont have that with our current personnel.
If we can begin to run the ball better, and have the TE's work the middle, it will eventually open things up on the outside.
Takes balls and toughness to catch those slants

Lucky for us, he doesn’t have to use that gift very often. We’ll see as this season plays out, though.

Move Ross to the boundary(or 9 whatever he played) and Will Taylor to slot. Would help some.

I get it that you are frustrated but not let's not be rude. We are not talking about Hatfield or West. I request that we be respectful of the last 10 years.
Patience please
