Coots trying to say a true #1 recruit should have more

Jun 18, 2012, 10:21 AM

then 15 offers and if you look at other mega high profile guys they have well over 30 offers.

Does he really only have 15 offers, I don't really follow why he would have less then anyone.

Jun 18, 2012, 10:25 AM

Yes it was 15 offers, but maybe you should throw back at them that 10 SEC schools were among his choices... and I think they would have to admit that he must be pretty #### good if that's the case... or else they'd be lying

actually, who cares? let them cry about it. jealousy is very flattering

Probably true. There are only a handful of real football schools who have a chance to sign a young man such as this and usuck ain't one of them!

time, how would the gurus be ranking them 1 2 3?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Based on ESPN

Jun 18, 2012, 10:35 AM

Bowers and Clowney were 95's and Nkemdiche is a 94 (for now, points change throughout the year).

ESPN is probably the worst ranking system, but it's something to measure with at least.

best ever, only having 15 offers because he was only considering the best schools whom happen to be in the SEC. What a bunch of hypocrites. Nice Choice RN.

Jun 18, 2012, 10:49 AM

True. If he had signed with us we would be going around saying we had another Clowney. Of course, on the flip side, y'all would be telling us he was no Clowney. I guess it balances out.

school in the US and they would give him a scholarship. If he didn't "officially" get more than 15 offers it's probably because other schools figured he already had his short list to choose from.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I do not care what they have to say.

Jun 18, 2012, 10:47 AM

We are above them. Always have been. That is why many of us chose to attend Clemson rather than SC. And that is why many chose Clemson over SC to root for.

Re: Coots trying to say a true #1 recruit should have more

Jun 18, 2012, 10:48 AM

Ridiculous. He would have an offer from any school that thought they stood a chance. It was assumed for so long that he was Bama, UGA, or LSU that most people didn't bother offering.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Exactly

Jun 18, 2012, 11:03 AM

Media helped propel that mentality also. Give up because you assume it's lost. Not a good way to be

I didn't say we didn't offer. I have no idea if we did. However, if we didn't, it would only be because we knew he wasn't coming so why take the time.

I'm not sure some of you read my post so well.

What are you talking about? Did I not just say that I didn't know if we offered. If you'd stop staring at the little Gamecock under my name and actually read you would see I am saying that whatever Gamecock fan made the quote the OP referenced is being an idiot.

of any school in the nation. BTW, does south carolina ever go out of state and pull in 5-star recruits? Honestly, I don't know. I wouldn't assume so, but I know garcia was highly recruited...nuff said there

they lost out. We are going to be flat out salty on defense if we can land some interior DL talent this cycle as well. And again, we need more depth at OT as well. The 2013 edition of the Tigers could very well be a legit NC team.
