Concerned fan. Am I the only one

I have been a fan of Clemson football my entire life. For 32 years I have seen ups and downs Winning seasons not to mention the 3-8 seasons from the Tommy west days . As I sit back looking at the. Future landscape and climate of college football, from the NIL to the tv network wars. I sit back concerned about the future of Clemson football and the revenue split concerned if we will be able to compete with the splits . This is no way a knock on Clemson football I will be a fan til the day I die. I’m just concerned the sustainability with the budgets being able to compete with the money off the field. Is anybody else concerned about the future of Clemson football as far as not being able to stay relevant because of the realignment and the money distribution of the acc money. I never would have believed money would kill college football as we knew it.

Not the best timing. We are in the midst of celebrating one of the greatest comebacks in Tiger baseball history. Maybe posting this a bit later would have been better.

I’ve been watching Clemson football for 73 years. We’ve always been smaller than most of our opponents, with less money and fewer students/alumni. We’ve always done more with less.
And we will continue to do that.

Recruiting and the type of coaching that is going to get half of the team with significant playing time to the NFL is going to add to all that as well. We are in a bad spot to get a fair guaranteed share just for being in a conference that is not getting respected. That part is definitely a concern going into the future if it Is not fixed sooner rather than later.

All you have to do is look at the facilities on our campus, the salaries our coaches earn and the success of so many of our teams to understand that money is not an issue and we will be fine.

You guys are wrong. 40 million more dollars a year, translates to player acquisition, any way you look at it. We can’t keep up with the elite of college football with a deficit like that. Period.

Yea I would like someone to explain how money equals wins in the future. It's it bc you can pay players in the future? You have a better stadium and so kids want to play for you? You pay coaches more so they stay for twenty years?

Your concerns illustrate why come #### or high water Clemson will be leaving the ACC...tik, tok. There is no scenario where we stay, or get left behind.

just about the money, a solution that spread money around equitably wouldn't have been hard to devise...like some type of trust-fund for players to be accessed after eligibility expired. But it was a pay-me-now money grab by conference staff, school staff, the NCAA, etc.

Within 10 years there will be, however it is called, a group of 48-56 teams that are playing at the elite level. Everyone else will be similar to G5 teams today. Except the divide between the elites and the others will be even greater than that. It will be similar to The divide between the P5 and 1AA is now.
