lets face it, the SEC is taking over football......The Big10

is the only option to combat the SEC.....I think the BIG should get Clemson, make ND join, FSU, Miami, UNC, to grab some of the Southern TV market. The ACC is a casket of a conference, Schools do not care about football and the Conference has a lack of leadership.

What some don't understand is that Clemson is not....

... a hot TV market. If you combine Greenville, Spartanburg, Columbia, and Charleston together, you still don't have a top 20 TV market. There is NO scenario where a conference takes Clemson because of potential broadcast revenue. It's just not there.

The Greenville TV Market is consistently a close second to Birmingham. AL in terms of College Football viewing! Always ahead of larger Markets. Let’s face it, the 2 largest Markets (New York and LA) are complete Jokes in terms of College Athletics TV viewing!

We're larger than Birmingham. The Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville/Anderson market is #35, while Birmingham is #45. BUT... the sports revenue spending in SC is FAR less than in Alabama. That's why my radio stations no longer carry Tiger or Gamecock sports on any of our stations in the state of SC. The $$ just isn't there. Neve has been.

Completely inaccurate

I am the Executive VP of Programming for the world's largest media & entertainment company. My job includes knowing and understanding the ratings markets we're in.... The Greenville market consist of Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville/Anderson, and is still ranked only 35th in the nation for Audience size. Yes, that's larger than Birmingham, but still not large enough for a TV contract to be initiated because of one school. We used to run Clemson Sports on our radio stations across the state. We no longer do because the revenue just isn't there... not even combined statewide.

I am not refuting TV Market Size. Look up the highest ranking Markets for College Football Viewership. Birmingham is 1a and Greenville is 1b. Market Size and college FB viewers are 2 different things.

It's not about VIEWERSHIP for networks.... we don't care about that... we care about REVENUE..... and Greenville ranks 78th in the country

A Big10 setup with a NORTH and SOUTH division could be interesting IF they got the right teams in. 2022 will be a telling season as far as if the ACC is heading in the right direction.imo

AAU Accreditation

The Big10 has historically required AAU accreditation to join the conference. Only 5 ACC schools have this - Pitt, UVA, Duke, UNC & GT.
