Hate it, but I'll probabaly still patronize, as long as they don't waffle on their fries.

I think that it is a supply problem with getting the chicken.

Yep, there has been a disease killing a lot of chickens and farms are having to give medicine to keep flocks alive

Why do people love CFA?? I haven't bought anything from them in 3yrs and probably less than 10x in my life. I appreciate their beliefs but food is not great! Waffle fries are best!

Go to a Hardee’s, BK or Popeyes. Those places are typically dirty, the employees don’t seem to care and the owner is no where to be found. If you are choosing fast food, the experience at CFA is night and day different from the others. The primary reason is the owner of each restaurant is onsite and only owned one location.

Clearly, none of y’all have been raised on a farm with large numbers of poultry or live stock. The truth is that people living in subdivisions/suburbs don’t understand is that most birds are given some type of antibiotic treatment during their lives in the houses before they’re shipped off to the slaughter houses. There are typically hundreds of birds in one house at a time and they frequently have all kinds of contagious infections/diseases that run through the houses. It has become more prevalent and the amount of chicken that a restaurant like CFA goes through, they have to adapt in order to keep up the supply of chicken.

Behind every CFA sandwich or Five Guys Burger is a gut pile…
If ya don’t like it, go vegan.

My grandparents on both sides and my parents had chicken houses, raised as layers and for meat. They were free range and never given antibiotics. The need for antibiotics results from the abuse of the animals.

Not true! Meat has to be cleam from antibiotics for 6wks prior to slaughter. Almost every chicken gets antibiotics in the first 2wks of their life in their water before shipped. My chix are raised clean but had antibiotics in wk 2 to make sure they dont infect new clan. Most my chix are over 2yrs without any drugs except 2wk antibiotics, free range after!

People get antibiotics when we get sick, why do you think it’s not ok for animals to get them when they get sick

How long ago was that??? My family has chicken houses and turkey houses. We also had a dairy farm and now have beef cows. No one with large numbers of birds can do that anymore and stay in business. And your claim of animal abuse is just ignorant.

How many did they raise at a time? Those times have passed. Same people who don’t want antibiotics don’t want to smell chicken houses near them so places to grow chickens is limited. People do not understand where or how their food is grown they just want it cheap and not affect their lives. All these things can’t be achieved together.

They are changing from a NAE(No Antibiotics Ever) program to a NAIHM(No Antibiotics Important to Human Medicine). Most companies producing chickens had pivoted to NAE standards in the last 10 years. Since this industry shift to NAE there has been a tremendous uptick in loss of birds related to disease. Even before NAE there were strict guidelines and regulations in place to insure no chicken shipped for slaughter had any residue of Antibiotics in their system. These test were performed both pre and postmortem to insure no antibiotic residue in the meat that would be marketed. This shift away from NAE is only to reduce the loss of birds due to disease through the responsible use of approved antibiotics, and guarantee a healthy uniform product for the consumer.
