Will TAM come after Morris for now vacant OC position???

Dec 12, 2012, 7:20 PM

Is this now over or will TEXAS A&M come after Morris for the now vacant OC position??? He is a TAM graduate and I'm sure they could match his current salary and pay the buyout.

hopefully it won't be an issue. but going back to Texas is definetly on CCM'S wish list at some point and getting to coach a heisman QB at your alma mater could be pretty darn appealing.

I think it's $5 million.

In which case, he won't be going to A&M until Sumlin moves on.

There is a 6.2 Million dollar buy out if he goes as an OC.

Get your facts right.

Why would TAM pay a $6 million buyout to get an OC

who may leave a year later for a HC position. Use your head.

Can we please give this topic and Chad Morris..........

Dec 12, 2012, 7:38 PM

a rest please. It's getting nauseating. I'm sure there is an opening at a Montana high school that you guys are afraid he might take. Coaching is his chosen career path. He was not born in S.C., didn't go to Clemson, didn't play for Clemson and is not blindly loyal to Clemson as you nuts are. As long as we are paying him and he does his job, that's fine by me. But you must realize that Texas is his home. That's where his friends, family and heart are and I'm sure that just like all of us he feels there is no place like home. He will eventually go back home and NO he will not have betrayed Clemson when he does so.

The only problem he may have is the fact that the AD at TAM is Hyman, the ex So.Car. AD.

FOR GOD'S SAKE HE ISN'T TAKING AN ASSISTANT POSITION

Anywhere else. Period. Ohio State walked away before there was a buyout in place. The money you would have to spend for him to make exactly the same amount of money would make him the 25th highest paid coach in all of college football period. Seriously, quit trying to come up with stupid things to concern yourself about.
