Building of a coach, building of a team.

I cannot express enough the pride I have in Dabo Swinney as a coach. Coming in under difficult circumstances the man took the opportunity and approached it with a plan. While having some rough spots along the way he stuck to the plan and made changes (also difficult) when necessary. I do know that for many Tiger fans it was hard to let it unfold but I think it is clear now that he has done was purposeful and led to where we sit now. The team we have is just as impressive. These guys work hard and it shows. On top of being a great team I think their character equals their talent. We don't have guys getting into trouble and from what I understand they live the term "student athlete". They carry themselves with dignity and play with tenacity. I hope that this past victory is another step toward the ultimate pinnacle. It was electrifying to watch and take part in. We have waited a long time to see this level of play back in the Valley. It would be awesome to see the man who preaches greatness enter Pasedena with a team that believed and told them they could.

not go undefeated, but overall, from a program standpoint I think Dabo has us back to a 1980's level. Those who believed in Dabo are being vindicated, and those who didn't are being proved wrong. Now we just gotta beat the coots, who unfortunately have their program at an all-time high.

you could see a man doing what he loves. Celebrating with players and fans the OPPORTUNITY to play. His passion is so much fun to watch. Funny how it bothers some...

reason. Not sure why a coach can't be passionate about his team as oppose to throwing visors and talking incessantly about your main rival. As for me, I'll take the passionate coach!

Clemson is a place that former players gravitate back to. It is in their blood forever. See how many guys were back Saturday? You just don't see that many places. Dabo, IMO, has raised that level. These guys LOVE to play for him.

players returning but also any of our older legends including Coach Ford. I think Dabo was instrumental in getting Ford into the ROH where he should have been many years ago! You are correct also in that his players love playing for him and that's why they come back in mass. Dabo gets it! Great to be a Tiger!

THIS...and while I have always liked Dabo, I was skeptical..

...that he would be able to harden this team into a national contender.
As it stands now, I would not bet a dime against him.
He is already golden in my mind. He is heading toward legendary.

I agree 100%, I was against the hire but as my wife likes to remind me she was 100% for it. She said he just had something, he was genuine and thought he would do great. As she was told at the ladies clinic we (the men) think "we know everything" lol I was wrong and she was right on this one (pains me to admit)!

He is not perfect , but he knows our faults and has made big changes to the program , Now he is fine tuning and has been getting the best recruits he can .
The single thing that he has done is the adjustments during a game , that my friend is a WELL coached team .
