Nick Saban called it quits. Well, sirs, I have a good friend who has been saying ever since this portal and NIL stuff started that he wondered how long it would be before DABO called it quits. And his reasoning was exactly what Saban said led him to retire. Dabo has poured his soul into developing young men that will become better men when they leave....And to an extent, Saban had the same philosopy. But, Saban says ...now, they don't care about that ...70 percent of his players only wanted to know how much money.....


They better get this fixed fast, IMHO.

really feels things will turn back to some normalcy where his philosophy will work well enough to get Tiger Teams 9-15wins per year while having fun, molding young players into successful men in life.

Thus, he will not quit as Saban, a man 17 yrs his senior, did.

I always laughed at the Dabo will replace Saban talk over the years. I always thought Dabo would get fed up of the game and move on to something else before Saban would retire.
I still believe if he wins another Title, that he might. I do think he is too driven to walk away while people think he is regressing as a Coach.
If Smart, Dabo or Ryan Day win it all next year, I could see any of them hanging it up. Day would move to the pros and the other two could just do what they want and enjoy legend status in Clemson and Athens if they chose to.
