Boulware

Nov 28, 2015, 3:51 PM

He can't lift his arm. He can barely get up when he is on the ground. He is in big time pain. I am just hoping he doesn't actually need surgery. We can't win a national title unless he is healthy. I am hoping that it is something where a few weeks off and he is 100%. Is it really just a stinger? I really hope so.

Take yourself out....you are a liability to the team playing hurt! Hell, he makes bone head decisions at 100%....don't understand how our middle gets exposed over and over. We try to be too aggressive and get ourselves in bad situations against sub par teams.

^^^^WUT?? And miss those highlight tackles that Ben makes? Really? I'd rather have a broken coverage sometimes than miss those.

If you actually watch him on film every play, aside from the highlights, he has NOT played well since the beginning of October. If you don't believe me, watch the replay later and key on him every down. BJ Goodson is covering more field, making more tackles and showing better awareness on every play. Ben habitually over-pursues and get blown out by pulling offensive linemen on outside runs. 2 highlight reel tackles do not make up for 20 missed assignments and tackles throughout the rest of the game. We can't allow a team like Alabama to run 20+ up the gut all game. There's one inevitable result in that - A LOSS. Jalen Williams is more than capable to cover until Ben is 100%. If you didn't notice how hurt he was today, or how terrible he played beyond his two highlight tackles - you don't know football.

We can win with Jalen Williams. He is a baller. Even at 100% one might argue that he is just as good as Ben.

I love Boulware as much as anyone but he hasn't played well since the beginning of October. His performance over the last 4 weeks has been awful. Today alone, I counted 4 blown assignments, 2 no-efforts, and 3 missed tackles. Compare his play to BJ Goodson and there's no reason why Jalen Williams, or one of the other hungry backers on the sideline shouldn't get a shot. Play like this against a true run-first offense (i.e. Alabama) spells defeat.

Thank God for Deshaun Watson.

Who do we have other than Williams who is ready?
