Ben is better than Ian

Don’t get me wrong. Ian has a lot of potential with a great future. But Middlebrooks coming in late was the difference in the game clearly. I wonder why they didn’t play him more earlier. Frankly, I question the coaching staff for not playing Middlebrooks more in this game but also the entire season. He seems to be a really good athlete that is 6-10 with a lot of energy. Excited about his future!

I think you might be onto something. But I would say before tonight Ian was better, tonight Ben was better.

Probably because two different type players. Ian is going to be a PF at 6-7, and Ben is a center. Both will be good players.

They shouldn't be playing the same position. Schieffelin clearly a 4, I'm not sure why were playing him at the 5 early in the season. He got his first minutes at the 4 after Tyson's injury and had a few breakout games. Now with Hall's injury we don't really have a choice because you can't play a 6'5" Bohannon at the 5.

I agree that Ian is a 4 and Ben is a 5. But as it relates specifically to the game tonight, if you remember Georgia Tech was scoring inside at will before Middlebrooks came in the game. Just baffling to me why he didn’t choose to play him more. Especially since Ben had nine rebounds and eight points in about 26 minutes of play against Boston College. I think this kid is really underrated and should’ve played more all year.

I agree with you. We were +16 in Ben's 15 minutes tonight. He needs to play more and play more with Ian on the floor at the same time.

Agree. Middlebrooks should have played more. I'm very excited about his future.
