They have been pulling for Clemson to fall from the mountain top for years, and now we are still there and dear old Bama is losing traction.

Tell me this. Why does espn pull for Clemson to fall from the mountain top? I’m really curious.

That, and they are the owned by the same group that owns the secheat network. It's called looking out for their investment, and they do it to perfection.

Don’t those same people own the ACC network? Is espn secretly hoping their own network will fail? Just wondering.

There may be some of the same ownership of the ACC, not really sure, but they surely do seem to favor "their baby". I think we are more like a "red headed step-child" based on their bias in favor of them and their unfavorable treatment towards us. (I call them like I see them, and their bias is alive and well and there for all the world to see.)

Yes they do own the ACCN but they didn’t start the network because of football. They started it because of ACC hoops.

Well, this is football season, and we don't have to take a back seat to the "football powers" who garner so much respect this time of year. Face it, we finally have arrived in the country's "premier sport", even though not just the ACC's premier sport which is Basketball. BTW, I do love Basketball, and I wish we were more competitive in that one, as well.

Yeah I guess you’re right. I forgot I’ve never heard a peep about Clemson on espn during the last 5 years.

App St may have won the battle, but the war rages on. Y’all are a staple in the SEC and that’s more important than any single game.
Congrats.

Yeah man, you should have seen the 2 hour free infomercial when our spring game was aired on ESPN.
ESPN just hates Clemson. The vendetta is so clear if you look close enough for clues and keep thinking about it constantly.

I think the investment in the SEC network certainly matters. It has been in place for years and naturally caused a certain financial bias. To me, the bigger issue is culture. I have no idea the exact number but if you pay attention to the talking heads, game announcers and personalities on ESPN, by far, most are from the SEC or Big 10. And when I say most, I think it could be 80-90%. I can only recall Danny Kannel as the only ACC homer ever on SEC and he was let go. When you have this many from such a select few conferences, it influences how they see the world and others not from their origin. In any event, I think it is less bashing of Clemson and more the unhealthy promotion of others who are not often deserving. Fake Sports News. What is worse is the horrible effect on the sports world. Anyone who thinks AP or Coach [poll] voters have time to study film of colleges before they vote is delusional. They get the Voting Guide for Dummies from the narrative that ESPN puts out. Sadly, I think this might be this recent first CFP poll that seems to have 'fallen in line' with the ESPN narative.
