bad calls

Nov 12, 2016, 8:35 PM

If the right calls were made, we aren't crying in our beers right now. They were bad calls and even the announcers agreed, which is extremely rare.
We did still have a chance to close out the game, and that's on us, but it is hard to swallow.

You always look bad when you complain about the ref's calls after a loss. All of the media doesn't watch the game, they don't see the BS. All they do is show the winning play at the end.

We are talking about a 14 point swing with these 2 terrible calls which almost started to look like a rerun of the movie "the longest yard" and we were the inmates. Besides the ref's we did just enough stupid stuff to lose. I was impressed with Pitt's run defense, but we are 20 + points better than this team.

Good teams overcome bad calls, and I know you will never get a perfectly called game, but I am struggling with the fact that incompetent ref's or what looked like corrupt ref's decided a game where we didn't play our best and contributed to this loss.

I am struggling with the 3rd down call and the 4th down call to go for it. Coaches need to control the game. DW has shown that he does not always protect the ball in the red zone. In hindsight should have ran the ball and kicked a FG with minutes left.

Those refs were corrupt. End of story. Clemson wins by two TDs if that chicken-led crew not had an agenda to screw us. Yes, we could have made a few more plays, etc. But we were BLATANTLY cheated like I have never witnessed before.

There is no doubt in my mind had Clemson won that game, that crew would have left the stadium sick to their stomachs and wondering what more they could have done to swing it the other way. It was too obvious that they had it out for us. Even the announcers could see it. The whole Valley saw it. Our players realized it as well.

Watson made some poor throws and our staff made some poor calls, but that crew intentionally swayed that game. Missing things due to ineptitude is frustrating, but I can accept those things as humans make mistakes. Tonight was not due to human error; it was due to human corruption. They WANTED to screw us. End of story.
