I saw where Mackerno Alexander is transferring

from Auburn. He's Mackensie's twin brother, anyone know if we may be his next destination or even have a chance at him? Auburn used him as a LB/S hybrid, there's no question he can play. My first guess would be Clemson to be with his brother at least for a year and then my second guess would probably be somewhere in south Florida to be near his parents.
Anyone know anything about this situation? Sorry if someone has already posted this.

I don't know anything about his situation but i don't see us pursuing him unless we have a player who transfers or a recruit who backs out.

Yeah, I think that if we missed on Mark Fields II then we could be a player. If Muse goes to the major leagues we could use him though.

Auburn screwed him by not RS'ing him..

IF he transfers to another FBS level program without a hardship waiver he will have to sit out a year and and then only have 1 year of eligibility left. Maybe he is eligible for a hardship waiver and is able to transfer to somewhere like UCF, USF, FAU, FIU or even the U and play immediately. I doubt we are interested and pretty well loaded at the hybrid safety/nickel position with Blanks back plus Wiggins and O'Daniel.

If he has a red shirt he could use that when he is transferring and I would guess usc or ucf based off what I read

He maybe allowed to take a RS year and then still have 2 years left to play, but I'm not sure.

Some kids will sign with a team only on the promise of no RS

It's that time of life when it's difficult to resist the temptations and refrain from doing things that don't turn out well. I'm not saying that's the particular case here.

I know 100% that he called and asked to transfer to Clemson and they told him no. It came directly from a coaches mouth to my ear.

We weren't going to take him when it was thought they would only be a package deal. For some reason we just haven't every had him as a strong interest guy.

He exact words to me were "He and Mackensie couldn't be more different from a personal standpoint." Reading between the lines felt like Mackenro maybe has a little Bellamy syndrome.

Can't blame them there. But comparing anyone to Mackensie is unfair to them, Mack is one of the most driven young men I've ever seen.

Closest thing I've seen in terms of demeanor, preparation, etc. is Ed Reed. Not a bad guy to be compared to
