As much as it sucks to lose Shippey

It was probably the easier of the two to replace (in terms of playing style, this is not a comment on ability). When I look at a guy like Jay Haynes, he seems like he will be able to provide the speed and the threat out of the backfield Shipley did. Keith Adams is a great power back, but Mafah is heads and tails over everyone in that aspect. The running back room will be just fine.

Hope Haynes speed > Shipley speed. Hoping more like an ETN speed (hoping)

Eziomume's HS JR year: 10.84 100-meter, 22.23 200-meter

Spiller's HS SR year: 10.42 100-meter (FL state championship winning time), 21.50 200-meter (won easily)

Etienne HS SR year: 10.92 100-meter, 22.75 200-meter

Not sure if Haynes is faster than Eziomume

Haynes reminds me of Andrea Ellington. That would be awesome if he were that good.

The casuals don’t understand what Shipley leaving is gonna do for the RB room. Ship was great and hate to see him go yet excited to see the electric young guys that we have. Haynes has the speed to take it to the house at any moment, Keith Adams Jr is an absolute wrecking ball, Jarvis Green has elite versatility along with speed, and David E is a superstar in the making.

Would love to see all the potential at 100 percent for every running back but it will all be on Matt Luke and what he does with offensive line. Hopefully he can get 100 percent potential out of these guys to let the other guys reach theirs. Go Tigers.

I hope that Haynes gains a good bit of weight, otherwise every opposing

team is going to know that when he comes in to the game that he is going to be getting the ball because there is no way that he will be blocking for Cade at 170 lbs.

A big part of these questions is what these guys can do when the ball is not in their hands!!

I think we will miss his hands more than his legs. He was excellent catching the ball out of the backfield.

Looking forward to what Zoom Zoom can add to this mix next year as well. Seems like we'll have a good balance all around provided the receiving element can be augmented. I would think with Mafah taking on a #1 role that he will get a lot of reps and extra attention on the pass catching side. He seems to have decent hands but getting to those available spots quickly will be important for our overall game.

Go Tigers.
