It’s gonna get interesting. If Dilfer’s comments are true - that around 50 teams in the B1G and SEC are about to break away AND be bought by rich venture capitalists, do we really want to be in that league? This is a serious question! I’m still not sure how ultra-rich can actually own a college football team, but it is essentially becoming a pro league? Dilfer is known for wild comments, but he has doubled down that this is already in the works. Would Dabo work for Clemson or the rich team owner? Who would decide who is recruited or bought in the portal, Dabo or the Clemson owner and his/her front office? I’m not sure Clemson needs to be in that scenario? The ruination of something great is here imo.

Major college football teams will form own leagues and those leagues will pay to support Olympic sports in the conventional conference set ups….there, done.

what would Clemson Univ get out of all this?

I don't want to be part of a pro league in which investors are rich VCs or private equity and all monies divided up between players, coaches, and some fraction going to support non-revenue sports.

What if anything is left for Clemson University? Our name is used by everyone else to get rich. No thanks. I would be interested if 50% of monies flowed to the university for reduced fees, better facilities, quality education, etc.

Rental fees for use of DV could cover that. Cost of doing business for the "for profit" football venture. But shouldn't the same apply to all sports?
CU owns the facilities, not the athletic dept.

I don't know. But college football is on the brink of extinction

The complete elimination of every institution, organization, and activity deemed "American" has always been the goal of the radical left in order to destroy the country we grew up in. That is their stated goal and it is well under way. We have watched Christianity, marriage, family, education, medicine, banking and industry all be changed dramatically or destroyed. Sadly, American football, which is a uniquely American sport and activity, is high on their list.

Everything the Left hated and wanted destroyed: churches, Boy Scouts, football, the military, the family, the United States. All according to plan. All right in front of everyone's faces.

I like you so I'm going to be honest about this.

I don't care about the ACC, Big 12, SEC, B1G or FSU or any other school for that matter. I care only about Clemson. The fate of no other(s) are my concern.

I do not appreciate you conning me into watching an FSU hype film either.

I thought it was very highly out of character for you. It actually took several minutes (~30) to finish because I kept pausing it for relief then returning to view it in hopes I could get to the good part.

This is why I love Jesus. He saved me from spending eternity watching FSU hype videos. :)

I expect a full apology to include and accompany your intended video.

Wehn I realized what I had done, I didn't even read any of the repsonses. I know message boards attract trolls. I have worked diligently to earn the respect that this board gives me. I do not take that lightly.

Thank you, again.

A large number of fans really don’t comprehend the dangers for Clemson and can’t provide intelligent replies.
