We got beat by Duke but Clemson beat themselves. It’s as simple as that now that the season is not what we was hoping for there Is no stress going forward. Stop the conservative play bs and play like there’s nothing to lose! Dabo I think me along with every Clemson fan Is begging you to use the dang portal! College football isn’t what it once was. Either accept it and move forward with the times. Or step away and let someone who’s willing to adjust take over. Also Goodwin doesn’t have it this defense should be the bread and butter but they’re not. We can accept this year as a rebuild year make a bowl win it. And try to make a 12 team playoff next season. Hopefully using the portal and with a new Defensive Coordinator.

Maybe if we didn't have Bear Bryant's great grandson that Dabo is just hooking up for a legend family on the team we'd have room for someone that could make a difference.

if we cut some dead weight. sorry but it needed to be said. some guys are just taking up space on the roster over someone who can come in and help right away.

You are aware Alabama and Georgia always oversign and then cut, right? If these players want to be pros, they need to be introduced to the real world. The best player gets the job.

According to Nick Saban you retool, not build. And what good is going to the portal if you have had successful recruiting classes and even then if you do not coach the players proper techniques what then.
And what about strength and conditioning and building a killer instinct. Some one mentioned that last night. Last time that subject came up Tommy Bowden was the HC!
And why do you mention Wes Goodwin? Did his defense turn the ball over or come up short 3 times inside the opponents 5 yard line.
No this loss last night comes down to the same thing that cost us the South Carolina game last year. We have a Head Coach who has got complacent and that won't even get you into a 112 team playoff!

Rebuild? You understand that we likely lose 6 of our starting front 7 on defense this year. We could bring back Venables and our defense takes a step back next year. Even the offense will have some key losses, and that doesn't include if we have people abandon ship to the portal. I give Mafah 50/50 odds on leaving before game 5. We might have been able to talk him into staying with a championship run and Shipley leaving for the pros, but there probably isn't even an ACC championship in this teams future.

No this isn't a rebuilding year, which makes losing game 1 even worse.
