I believe you are showing us 8th based on the 247 ratings — but we are actually higher than that because they have not rated Preston at all. As soon as they put any sort of number on him, we should be at least 6th based on the numbers.

made sirius in-state recruiting hay during their five game winning streak. Had we fallen to the Coots again this year, I suspect Amare Adams goes to Cootlumbia. Glad we don't have to find out.

I’m old and I’ve been following recruiting since the year we signed Earl Campbell. As far as I can remember, we’ve signed 2 players from SC and they were both DTs. Ben Campbell from nearby Anderson signed with us when Mackie Brown was here and he contributed a little.
The other was Poona Ford from Hilton Head and he was really good and played in the NFL. So I’d say SC is a good place to land DTs.
I don’t suppose Clemson recruited either of those guys or we never would have had a shot.

What’s interesting about this is we all heard that his Family was Gamecocks and he’s a gamecock lock and that we flipped him last minute.

Now he’s saying he’s always liked Clemson and has been to many camps. Said it wasn’t even Close. How did all their insiders and our insiders miss this? Must have kept it close to the vest.
