Jeff scott

Was thinking about the Natty’s and some games and remembered the run plays, movement and line of scrimmage with TEs and WRs and wonder what it would take to get Scott back at WRs with Riley?! How much money does he want?

Right now, I think he wants some solitude and time with his family. There will probably be a point when he is ready to get back in the saddle but right now does not appear to be it.

Yes. Give this year (at least) to enjoy the severance package and think about what to do next.

Folks always want to reach back in these situations but
look forward not backward. It's not the end of the world
because we flubbed a game against a good Duke team.Get
over it because this isn't the only loss we will have.

Totally understand that! He has his priorities. I am sure South Florida wore him out! He’s worth a lot at the WR position!

Agree, with the exception of Sammy, we have not had

Many burners at wr(Martavis being the only other I can think of) but they somehow could get separation and high point a ball. No separation now and too much catching with arms. I know we all see the separation issue which is probably route running as opposed to speed but has anyone noticed the lack of ability to get up

Jacoby Ford comes to mind…

I understand but was referring more to the time when

Scott oversaw the wrs. Jacoby across the middle would be nice for sure

Noble johnson is supposed to help with that. So is the weight room and coaching!

Nobel and Kelly deserve a chance. Kelly has speed and Nobel can go up and get it. Let them play these two weeks and see if they stand out and if they do, let them play!

The problem is that they won’t help us for two more years even if they pan out…

Our offensive play calling has lost the "balls to the wall" mentality. When we were stomping everyone and winning 12+ games a year, we played fast and vertical. Now, we play slow, horizontally and conservative.

If we can't get offensive pressure in the middle of the field and down the sidelines, the opposing defense has nothing to fear. As we've seen in the last few years, opposing defenses stack the line, send pressure, and dare us to throw downfield. The horizontal passing game that I saw last week is an indication of no confidence in 50/50 balls and receivers unable to create separation.

Maybe more 2 back w rpo. Something has to get things clicking because of the lack of confidence

Correct. You at least have to TRY to go deep, whether you complete it or not. Let em know you will do it. WE are not even trying.

They wait on the ball instead of attacking it. I've noticed that for the last couple of years.
