After thug stood over Ellington jawing on a hit that looked
Nov 26, 2012, 1:27 PM
|

worse than it was because Ellington was off balance....
I wondered why Shuey or someone wasnt set out in the slot and told to run a crossing pattern right across 36's chest....
It's football , and I just do not understand some things anymore.

Maybe we need to move Venables up a notch then....
Atleast he's got the look of the right attitude....just maybe not all the smarts...
the call on the 3rd and 20 not to spy Shuey on their QB and allowed that big run , I felt cost us the game.... It was late in the 4th , and we had seen he could scramble somewhat when needed.

No the call to only rush 3 and bring no heat the whole game is why we couldn't get off the field any at all. You have got to make the guy throw the ball quickly.

We were bringing blitzes from everywhere
Nov 26, 2012, 4:09 PM

Brought Brewer off the edge and other corners, LBs, stunts..
It just didn't look like it because stuff was wide open in the flats all night and QB got the ball out in a couple seconds.

OK so we rushed 3 and blitzed 1. They still had 5-6 people to block it. You have to bring more than they can block.

And should have brought a little payback from a teammate.

If I'm on the field and I saw that thug standing over my teammate like that....he's gonna get it...the next opportunity....
but hey...that's just me....that's how I played...take the next hardest shot at him I get a chance to ....and remind him why.

I have called a play where I tell all 11 to just run over one particular player on the other side who has been making plays and getting cocky. It usually gains SOME yardage and it usually teaches the cocky player lesson as well. Plus my players all get fired up and happy about it and it usually provides a spark.

well if you think he is a thug and wouldnt want him on your team then yes you don't understand football. He is a mean dadgum player and yes it was a brutal hit but it was totally legal and retallation would have been uncalled for.

The retaliation would not have been for the hit. The retaliation would be for the taunting of your teammate. You not only do not understand football, you do not understand having your brother's back and not allowing someone to come and crap in your yard. I played at Clemson, there was a time if someone taunted a teammate like Swearnager did Andre, they would be carrying his butt off in a john deere cart before the game was over.

P.S. WEOWNUSC, you might want to change that screen name. Face it, the coots unfortunately have our number with stronger, faster, more physical players and way better coaching every year these days.

Listen #######! I was going to Clemson games when you were probably not even a glint in your old man's eye, with Frank Howard's head glistening in the October sun when he took off that ever-present fedora, and his Redman residue all over the sideline. I was going to games in Death Valley when we had no upper decks! Just because I know a 4 year beatdown when I experience it.....and just because I happen to believe that St. Dabo does not possess the most brilliant strategic mind in modern football (hell, far from it!),and I ain't "all in with the real estate guy", I'm a troll or a Carolina fan? No, I can just admit truthfully that they have a superior team, they're better coached on both sides of the ball, and they have been seriously kicking our azzes!! And while I'm on a rant, to hell with all this childish "coot", "USC in California", "Carolina in Chapel Hill" B.S. How did all that work out for St.Dabo last weekend, huh?

63-17 ring a bell ? 45-0 ring a bell ? 1981 ring a bell ?
This was a one play game till 5:05 in the 4th quarter...if you didn't get to see it.
