Clemson has 56 blue-chip recruits on its roster (former 5-or-4-stars). Duke had just 2. Every thing should tell you that Clemson is faster, stronger and better. And yet, Duke had us beat in all of those areas…HOW? Our player development, both from a physical and mental standpoint, has dropped off big time. It can’t be THAT many recruiting misses — this is a coaching issue. Another thing: yeah, we made our mistakes in the red zone that were laughably bad an improbable, but Duke made some damaging errors, too. We were the worse team from start to finish

We had 3 turnovers, 2 blocked field goals and two failed fourth downs. All true. Even if we don’t commit them, and neither did Duke, this would have been a tight battle to the finish. Give our talent level, that’s an unacceptable result

How do you figure this would have still been a close battle. The momentum on Clemson’s side and Duke’s side would have been reversed and who knows what the outcome would have been.

Blue chip recruiting don't mean squat since anyone can be a 4 or 5 star player when they are actually a 2 star. Evaluate a kids film and watch them live in person not in camp like Dabo likes to do is the best way to judge.
