3 games to go. Each one matters

Clemson is currently tied for 4th..
Maintain that tie with Wake and last game vs Wake is big road game. But next three games each have issues associated with them

@Notre Dame
Would be a bad loss, so need to win.
Win on road would look good
ND is playing better. Just beat Wake.

Vs Syracuse
Syracuse has only two games left @ Lou and @ Clem
Need to beat Cuse to own tiebreakers
If lose to them, then 100% have to beat Wake.
Win vs Wake may get Clemson tiebreaker over Cuse

@ Wake
It is hard to keep winning in a row.
But if Clemson wins out, then 4th seed in ACC should happen. That is if NC State loses one more game. They play @ UNC vs Duke and @ Pitt.

Scenario win 3-0 to finish 13-7 in ACC.
Get 4th seed in ACC Tournament.

Probable scenario, go 2-1 to finish 12-8 in ACC
Lose tiebreaker to Wake.
Hold tiebreakers over Cuse, FSU and Pitt for 5th place

If scenario two happens, could prove better for Clemson because I get nervous when they have a long layoff. 3 January losses come to mind.

Brownell could quieten critics like me for a bit if...
Win next 3, finish 4th in ACC
Win 2 games in ACC Tournament which would put Clemson in ACC Championship.
Win minimum two games in NCAA Tournament, means Sweet Sixteen.

Tall task, but achievable.

And where is Alex Hemenway?
Could he finally get healthy?

Also can Hemenway get a medical reason for another season?
Can we get Chase Hunter to come back for one more season?

Tough finish here, but think 2-1 is a reasonable expectation. Glad we got Cuse at home.

Winning out locks at least 4th place in the league. Don't need an additional NC State loss for that.

NC State has 8 ACC losses, they are behind Clemson. Tigers win out, Clemson is #4 seed

Of course win out is not going to be easy, gotta put in the work and grind.

Go Tigers!!

Wake is 15-0 at home and 2-8 on the road

Unfortunately we play them in Winston Salem. That's going to be a tough one to win and it's very unlikely we can beat them out for the 4 seed without winning it.

The only way to lose that game and still get the 4 seed is if Wake loses at VT (quite possible given their road record) and at home to GT (very unlikely) while Clemson beats ND on the road and Cuse at home. The odds of all 4 of those things happening are extremely low.

TLDR: If we want to earn a top 4 seed and the double bye we will likely need to be the only team all season to win at Wake. Gonna have to earn it.

Tied for 4th or tied for 5th would be awesome considering how we did in the first half of the ACC conference schedule.

We are 6-1 in the last 7 with 3 to go.

We've never gone better than 6-4 in the last 10 in the last 10 years and we've only done that once so anything other than losing all 3 left would be new territory.

I'm hoping for 2-1 but beating Wake at Wake would be great.

I think Brandon said yesterday that Hemenway reinjured his knee and will not play this season.

ND would be a Quad 2 loss and likely remain that way. SU has more of a chance

to be a Quad 3 loss at home so that game is more important of the 2. We can lose 1 of those, beat WF and still be the 4 seed. UVA could also lose to BC tonight and at Duke and we will be the 3 seed if we win out. There are still quite a a few 3 way, 4 way tie scenarios out there. 1 even where we get the 4 even with a loss to WF.
