Candy bars are smaller. Bags of chips contain more air than ever. Price of ground chuck is going higher faster than the sky is falling. A dozen of my golf balls just went from 21 to 25 dollars a dozen. Year end clearance sales are not really sales, just discounted prices and the higher the original price was ,the less the discount is.
The price of gas fluctuates up and down, but never goes below the price it was before it went up.
And that is just the tip of the iceberg.

In my day Baby Ruths were .05 or for .10 you could get either a very large one or a double pack. Automobiles and TV's had been invented so it was not in the stone age.
