So Vic and Sammy gone for sure

Jan 4, 2014, 1:24 PM

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000299513/article/clemson-de-vic-beasley-says-hes-leaning-toward-entering-draft

I am ok with them leaving. Let them make the money and take care of their family. They deserve it. I dont think Vic can have a better year next year. with his name being known well now, teams will double team him and he will get less than 13 sacks if he comes back and that will affect his draft grade.

the only guy i worry that might leave and not picked early would be Martavis. I would love for him to be a 2nd or 3rd rounder, but i think he will end up a 5th or 6th round guy. he can really use another year and become a solid second rounder atleast.

But I have read some folks say that his family situation might push him to NFL this year. does he have kids? Anyways, I would love all of these clemson folks to have a solid NFL career and make some money. I sincerely hope Tajh wont fall no worse than 2nd round...

Yes, Bryant has a kid. It would be understandable

for him to make the jump for the family reasons.

But he is one that would tremendously benefit from his senior year in terms of draft position, which would be a shame. He should succeed either way though, so good luck to him.

Try three kids, at least that is what I have been told.

You could also argue that it is that much more important to get a degree as well.

Every football player is 1 injury away from ending their career.

Other than those that are graduating or running out of eligibility, I would encourage them all to seriously consider returning.

College offers a nurturing environment that can't be matched in the private sector. A totally different ball game.

Ask some of the players that left early in the past and have fallen through the cracks.

heck, lets just round it up to 4 while we are on the topic.

Seems to me like a even more the reason for him to get his degree.

I don't agree with the Vic can't do better thought

Jan 4, 2014, 1:40 PM

Our d-line will be insane next year. The DT's will be back and with Lawson on the other side, Vic could have a field day and get bigger and more attractive to the nfl. The guy is a beast talent wise, but could gain much more ground with 1 more year and I could see him as a top 3 pick if he waits.

He could also go out with a win over South Carolina, an ACC Championship, National Championship, all-time sack leader at Clemson, a degree...

Sammy...no brainer

Jan 4, 2014, 1:45 PM

Vic would be making a mistake. Even the article describes him as "the undersized Beasley". So he has some natural hurdles to hop and a big-time senior year would put him in much better position for a long successful NFL career.
