He has never been a starter and caught 10 balls all year. And somehow can't block down field regardless of being a giant. That's draft material if I've ever seen it.

If he leaves, it probably has less to do with his talent and more to do with him realizing he won't graduate and might as well try his luck. Now, when I say that about him not graduating, I'm not bashing him or saying I know that for a fact, what I am saying is that would be his motivation for declaring now. I want him to stay, develop as a player, and graduate, but if he doesn't have the grades to stay on the field, he might as well give the league a shot and hope his combine numbers catch someone's eye. with all the academic support structure in addition to tutoring that is not available to the general student population and he still cannot make it, maybe he should have never been at CU.
Love his game, but one has to put in the work in all areas .

He's not even close to being NFL-ready. There's a chance some team would fall in love with him after seeing him in workouts, but at best he'd be a 6th or 7th round pick. I can't see him making an NFL team though.
Even if he can't stay eligible, he at least needs to go to an FCS school. He probably needs two seasons of being a focal point of the offense, and learning how to run routes and block.

to either stay at Clemson and work at his grades in the spring or find a 1-AA school that would take him. NFL Draft would be a waste. He needs coaching to develop his potential - especially as a route runner and not body catching.

going to prep school is just like repeating your senior year of high school. It is not in any way considered a "post secondary" institution such as a college or junior college.
Therefore, the clock started ticking when he arrived at Clemson... not when he arrived at high school.
