And no I don't mean that sad drizzle that is Miami football ...
As things now stand, Saturday night's kickoff are looking kinda iffy -- drying out, but gusty. Both the American and European models are sliding a bit east, which puts upstate SC in a more precarious spot.
In fact, the GFS id-day run has put what's left of Ian over upstate SC by game's end. The nastiest effects will be to the east, with a half-foot or more of rain along from Charleston through the Grand Strand and ES NC. The GFS is calling for about 1.5 inches overall for Clemson, much of it on Friday.
The CMC (Euro stand-in until the real thing runs) is kinder at kickoff cloudy but dry with winds of about 15 mph. Friday night will be lousy for football, though, with heavy rain and wind gusts up to 40 mph, per the CMC. NAVGEM looks similar, but wetter.
Look for the forecast to bounce around a bit until Tuesday, when storm strength and steering are established.

WYFF forecast only shows showers for Saturday but that forecast will change many times this week.

... and no, we're not talking about Bianca Balti.
Both the Euro and ICON have given us the all clear on Saturday even -- a bit breezy, perhaps, but little if any residual rain.
But you DON'T want to be driving up Friday afternoon or evening, especially in a high-profile vehicle. Heavy rain and squally winds are likely through early Saturday per these models.
