We lost the ACC when we didn't win it in regulation at NCst.

Just wasn't in the cards for us this year. Sucks, badly, but I'm willing to bet we all will have a renewed appreciation for winning after this season. Winning the ACC will never again be "ho-hum".

We were mediocre… we are better than that now and that should only be a measure because if it prevents being undefeated. We need and ACC title every year to have a chance at winning games that matter

So you'd be ok with a 1-11 season as long as the one W was against scar? I'm glad everyone associated with the program doesn't think like that.
And btw, I care about beating scar as much as anyone, my post didn't have anything to do with that.

We lost the ACC when we lost to Pitt.
Three plays lost it for us against Pitt.
There were multiple near miracles to keep us in the game against NC State (missed FG by them, missed FG by them, and missed near chip-shot FG by them at end of regulation).
Against Pitt, we lost because (1) Shipley dropped the TD pass; (2) B.Spector had a terrible roughing penalty when Pitt failed to convert a 3rd and long play late in Q2 ... Pitt then drove down the field and scored a TD at end of Q2, and (3) finally, DJ's shovel pass pick-6.
That's 21 points which we dumped in the porta-potty, and two of those plays led to our defense being on the field too long that game.
The Pitt game was one which we should have won handily; the NC State game had only gone to OT because of near miracle missed FGs by NC State.
If we had beaten Pitt, then we're ACC Atlantic champs.

Yes Pitt loss was only by a few plays. Technically either one of those losses knocked us out of it.

You can say the same thing about NC State. 8 3 and outs. Tons of plays we could have made in that game.
Lots of NFL receivers drop TD passes every week. Kinda tired of hearing people blame Shipley for the dropped pass. Not like it was the last play of the game and he catches it, we win and the game is over.
