Truth be told, we need at least a decent FSU...

and a few other ACC teams to step-up if we are going to stay in this conference.
Having said that, they haven't beaten us since 2014. You think that might give these pundits pause but it doesn't. Now, it's Duke that's going to upset us? Geesh.

So there’s no reason to worry about or care that we beat the soul out of FSU and Duke. Beat the living soul out of them! Make them unrecognizable! That is our job. If they want to not have that happen, then get better!

So many people are really high on Jordan Travis. But, I don't know. He's never really impressed me as a thrower. And I just think he'll need to be in order to beat us.

Count me in the same boat as not being impressed with Jordan Travis. I also think their W-L record last year was a fraud.

We had The Noles over our knee swatting their tails when

Child Protective Services or somebody arrived and talked us into taking it easy on them.
Once we let then up, did they appreciate it? Heck no! They kneed us in the nuts and then tried to steal the game.
Now all we hear about is how “close” that game was and that moral victory along with the fantastic FSU win in the Cheezits Bowl over an Oklahoma team with a losing record has the gurus and pundits all giddy.
We’ll see soon enough.

That was really frustrating too. DJ was having a good game. Then Streeter took his foot off the gas. We really could have put it on them.
I think LSU beats them by 10+

We were playing well on both sides of the ball, but then …

… we got too comfortable.
I recall shots of our sidelines when we got up by 20 and you could see it in the players faces. They were going on cruise control.
It’s sort of a natural tendency with young kids to get over-confident in those situations.
That’s when the coaching staff and senior leadership has to take control and keep them focused and hungry. In this instance the coaches failed and the senior leadership seemed lacking as well.
Fortunately, we hung on for the win. Hopefully, it was a learning experience for all concerned.

I agree. LSU was still finding themselves that first game of the season. They improved steadily throughout the season. I think LSU will beat them, but not sure it will be a blowout at Doak. Sorry Bret

FSU vs. LSU

Very similar to UGA vs. Clemson last year.
First game of the season. Two highly rated teams. But, nobody has a clue as to really how good or bad either team is.
I'm thinking most serious bettors are staying away from this game.
It wouldn't surprise me if the game went into OT. It also wouldn't surprise me if FSU won by 15. It also wouldn't surprise me if LSU won by 15.
I THINK (highlighted, underlined, stressed - think) FSU is slightly better than LSU. I THINK playing in Orlando will be slight advantage to FSU. I THINK FSU has the better QB and better offense. I THINK FSU will win a close one.
But, lots of very expensive casinos have been built because people who THINK they know what will happen are stupid enough to actually put money on it. (I am not one of those people.)

The part for me that I assume people don’t think about because if they did they probably wouldn’t pick Florida state so much is that even with our struggles offensively, we still wore their ### out last year. Weren’t we up like 3 touchdowns late 3rd Q? Didn’t they come back and end the game kicking an onside kick? Or was that another game? TIA

The ACC wouldn’t be in this predicament if FSU stayed relevant and Miami and VT wouldn’t have fallen off a cliff and held up their end of the deal.

Remember the Miami verses FSU games of the past? They were legendary and would stand up to any big SEC or Big 10 game.

Exactly, it would be great for college football and for the conference if schools like FSU, Miami, VT and Pitt along with UNC and a few others were to step up and be good. College football needs some old powerhouses to come back like Nebraska, USC, Texas and anyone else not in the SEC were to be good again.
