The off-week ended up scaring me more than I thought…

Oct 30, 2022, 12:09 AM

…it would with the Tigers being able to heal and rest up for ND.

I was hoping to see a couple of more undefeated teams lose. It didn’t happen.

Instead, I feel now, with the Tigers going to South Bend and the present state of just about everything flying around making the CFP, we’re going to see EXACTLY what this team is made of, as well as the coaching staff.

Can Dabo & Street really coach out the Syracuse-blues from DJ?

Can Dabo & company get ALL of the players heads straight and singularly myopic on not beating themselves, but playing that FIRST COMPLETE game against a blue-blood program in their house?

Whew! I’m going to be a nervous wreck this week.

Maybe I should just head up to South Bend on Friday night to clear my head.

You and I both my get called a "coot" for this, but this did suddenly turn into a scary game for us. In South Bend is always tough, and a ND team with some confidence at home is gonna be a tough out.

If we win that game, I'll truly start believing we're a natty contender.

Tiger defense will have to win this game. DJU and the offense will have to put up some points for sure but the D is our strength. Turnovers might be the difference.

Go Tigers!

STOP the run and we win. Not sure their QB can throw it to win.
Will be a good match up between their OL vs our DL.

We are only the 4th highest rated ACC defensive team and ND gives up 1/10 of a yard less than we do. If our defense is elite, they need to show it Saturday night.

I wouldnt sweat it.

Clemson should be able to easily handle ND on both sides of the ball.

“Should” is the key word. ND will try and pound the ball behind their big offensive line. Running DJ and Shipley up the middle into their D line 80% of the time won’t cut it. This will take a team effort, our D and Streeter (Dabo) being creative on offense, throwing with our TE’s and WR’s catching the ball.

We have two tough games left, ND and Louisville (ask Wake). If we play smart and hard we can win it out. Though, we can’t have multiple turnovers and play for one quarter, in a four quarter game.

Go Tigers !!!!

This season has matured.

I expect a better showing from our football team than anything we've seen up to now this season. It won't be perfect but it will be a good outing for our guys. We may only win by a couple/few points but the offense should look more polished and the defense will save the day, the way I see it.

As always, our offense won't look like a playoff team until the coots show up at the door.

Nothing flying around about the Playoffs makes 1 bit of difference. The poll that comes out this week does not make 1 bit of difference because there are 5 weeks left. What was confirmed is that there are some really, really good football teams out there.

We need our receivers (not named Antonio Williams) to step up and play like a championship caliber group - get open, catch the ball, and block for your teammates. Of course, we need DJ to have a good day and eliminate the turnovers. Time to play like champions. GO TIGERS!!!.
