The 1977 Clemson vs Coots game where Steve Fuller threw the game winning touchdown to Jerry Butler with a minute left was also known as The Catch.

Nice, but "the catch" against S. Carolina was Steve Fuller to Jerry Butler in 1977. Oh well, when we have won as many games against them as we have, there are too many great plays to pick a Top 5. #AnotherChickenKicking.

56-7, etc., but man, that one was fun!!
After SC scored that last TD, I figured it was over so I called a good friend on his mobile to congratulate him. He didn't answer (must have been celebrating), so I left a message. After we won, I called him back and said nothing more than "this is John. That was ..." He said "FU, John" and the line disconnected. I got a kick out of picturing him trying to end the call with authority, like slamming the handset into the cradle, but all he could do was drunkenly search for the end button and press really hard. 
Loved that guy like a brother, though.

Was this the game that the gamecock players had the Tee shirts on under their jerseys that said: No Cigar Today ? I remember a game when they showed these jerseys near the end of the game and we came back and won.

I watched this one a few days ago. It showed that my memory isn't always as good as I like to believe. I obviously remembered the catch and the winning FG. However, my memory had there being less time left on the clock when SC scored and that the catch was on only the 1st or 2nd play of the drive because we didn't have enough time for much more than that. Still though, things were looking bad for us out of timeouts, on our own side of the field, a 3rd and long, and under 20 seconds left.
I know the SC fans always complained about a push off, but not enough is mentioned about the 2 additional defenders SC had down the field on the play that were completely lost.
