In no way do I approve of using racial slurs, but good lawd this is football, and it's a bitter rivalry. There are lots of things said on the field, lots of cussing and very personal trash talk that would be totally unacceptable in public or in just about any other part of society. There is a great deal of very disrespectful and insulting banter, all with the sole intent of getting inside the opponnent's head. If someone approached you in public and called you a name and tried to humiliate you, that would be unacceptable. If somebody is calling your home and harrassing you, that is totally unacceptable. If Somebody calls you a name, any name, on a football field during a bitter rivalry game where there is trash talk going both ways ... put on your big boy pants and quit crying about it. Playing the race card in this instance is absurd and makes you look desperate.
