Some thoughts on DW....

Mar 18, 2021, 10:38 AM

This makes me sick to my stomach. My 13 year old son has always looked up to Deshaun. He has his Texans jersey and is reading his book. He told me that Deshaun thinks of others and puts God first, that’s why he admires him.
I know he’s not a perfect man, and has faults, like we all do. But given his past behavior, his personality, what we’ve seen of him on and off the field since he was 18, I find these accusations hard to believe. Hopefully, he will be proven innocent. Yet, in the meantime, his name and reputation are being destroyed. He will always have this attached to him now.
No other NFL team will want to look at him right now with this hanging over him. They’re not talking/speculating on where he may be traded to on ESPN. Somehow, this has become convenient for the Houston Texans.

I’ve always thought a lot of Deshaun and certainly want to believe that this is all a money grab and he did nothing wrong. However, one thing I’ve learned is people will disappoint you. They are flawed and make huge mistakes. Hopefully that’s not the case here.

Was he wearing a mask?

Isn’t that the most important thing?

I find it very hard to believe. I truly feel like Watson could have many ladies at his disposal. Why would he force himself on someone? Sorry I just don’t see it

I, understand what you are trying to say. As intended by our founders, when someone was accused of something the individual was "presumed to be innocent" until guilt was proven beyond a shadow of doubt. Sadly, in todays environment one is assumed guilty and must be able to prove he or she is innocent. This is the direct result of the corruption of our Judicial branch of government and the drive-by medias refusal to triangulate their sources before running a story.

It's hard to believe a pro athlete making millions wants to hook up with women. It reminds me when Tiger Woods was busted sleeping around. I always viewed him as golfer. I never thought he would want to sleep around in his spare time. Had I known I would have never bought the Buick.

Like I said, he’s not perfect. We all know Deshaun is a ladies’ man. He does have a beautiful girlfriend and they seem to be in love and pretty serious. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors. But could he or would he speak or treat women the way these accusers are saying he did? If it did happen, and they were so offended by his actions, why now? Why didn’t they go to the police or a lawyer a year ago when it happened?

Just point out all the great stuff Deshaun does. There are too many positives.

I understand how you feel LC. When my grandson was about eight years old, about once every other week he would draw a picture of DW4 and give it to me to pin up on my desk, at work. My desk was covered in those pictures. I still have them. One day I hope to give them back to him.

As far as DW4 goes, I believe him to be innocent until he is proven guilty, and I know my beliefs are dictated by the idea, that DW was one of our heroes and I hate to see him shown in this light, But I hope when the smoke clears on this, that he will be vindicated, and if this lawyer and these women are lying, that their parasitic action, will punished.

One that doesn't make a lot of sense to me, is the one that he flew from Atlanta to Houston. What was so special about her, that he would do that? And if she had no previous problem with him, what made him all of a sudden change? If she had any clue, that there was going to be a problem, she would never have gotten on that plane to Houston. Would she have considered money over concerns for her possible safety?

I know, people are people, and DW4 is just as human as the next person, but it all seems kinda fishy to me.
