You are right. I've got a huge problem with only scoring one run in a weekday game. I suggest Monte needs to pick it. As does the entire team.

No. Last year at this point in the season we were 7-9.. Soooo we are better so far at 14-2.

The only way this team wins games is when they get walked 10 times . Getting shut down 2 games in a row by AVG at best pitching is not a good look.
We will see vs the U , because the Canes pitching has been awful.

The Northeastern pitcher had a .35 ERA through 4 games that is considerably above average. When the average pitcher with a 2.56 ERA entered the game we hit two home runs. Are you people watching the games ??

Like I said Northeastern and Ga St yeah it’s only 2 games and baseball is more competitive.

Hitting a round ball with a round bat is extremely difficult. I think this team will compete and have a good year.

Ingle can put balls in play and hit ground balls. Many back shoulders are dipping and that creates hr and pop ups

Folks, the scouting reports being used against the Tigers tells the story. If an opponent has a pitcher that has a decent breaking ball and a changeup they can get across the plate the Tigers will strikeout 10+ times. It’s been happening that way all season and true of past seasons. The Tiger hitters are struggling across the batting order with mental side of hitting and are getting desperate. Have you watched the swing planes of Grice and Brewer as an example?
Will the Tigers have good hitting days? Yes, when they run into a pitcher struggling to get the breaking ball over forcing them to throw more fastballs. I was encouraged watching the first two games against Northeastern because they were playing aggressively on base to pressure the pitcher and creating opportunities. Secondly they forced the pitcher into counts where they would see more fastballs and got both good small ball and long ball results over 9 innings. Last two games have been the complete opposite because only Ingle and Hawkins are showing patience to hit the ball as it’s pitched and layoff the waste pitches.

Definitely can't write the Tigers off after one night. Hell, we are still 14-2. But it was a disgusting effort by our guys at the plate. Brewer and Grice look like they've never seen offspeed in their life. They're better than that, but gotta change their approach. Long past time to bump Brewer down in the lineup (Corbitt needs to be hitting leadoff). Ingle is a dog...I love how he approaches his ABs.

Still early to write off but if this happens in a couple weeks the 14-0 start won’t matter. Had a gamecock told me were satisfied with season. I told him I’m not but it sure does seem so. Hope he is wrong and I bet he will. People are right clemson baseball and b-ball to predictable just like when Tony Elliot was calling plays. I have a coach that coaches with me whose friend son played at clemson recently and says biggest thing with monte and other guys on staff. Great kids on and off the field but they don’t grow players. Look at beer he had phenomenal freshmen year then we was ok. Grice seems like it’s the same.

We’ve seen this show before, haven’t we?
This team should not be getting boat raced at home on a Tuesday night to Georgia State.
Hopefully, they can get out of this slump and go on to win the ACC. And I’ll come back on here and say how wrong I was.
